Chelsea expect to complete the signing of Andrea Pirlo this week and will then intensify their efforts to lure Franck Ribery and Sergio Aguero to Stamford Bridge.

The trio would cost Roman Abramovich the best part of £100million in transfer fees alone but the Chelsea owner is determined to prove he has not lost the appetite to compete in the transfer market, despite a slow start to his summer trading.

When John Terry agreed to commit his future to the club last week, he cited a pledge from Abramovich to bolster the squad with star names as a key reason.
Blue Lion......

I hope what you said is not true.

Selling Joe Cole and bringing in Pirlo is just not right.
Were talking on BBc this morning that Pirlo would be signed by the end of the week and Joe Cole was going to the yids. Hope this is not true.......

Would LOVE to see us sign Aguero!!!!

Still a lot of talk about us signing players. Although Pirlo is still the most mentioned....... plus we have a squad of nearly 30 now which is clearly way too big.

Plenty of movement to come still me thinks.

To be perfectly honest Im expecting to get Pirlo before the Community Shield , however I dont think we will get Ribery but once we are rejected in our pursuit for him I think we will then turn our attention to a real star player in the form of Aguero. I know this sounds like a poorly written soap opera but I think that it will go down on the last day of the transfer window. Clubs go crazy on that day and spent above and beyond what they normally would , I expect to get Aguero that day for mega money. Its good news though that Abramhovic is willing to spend big and we are identifying the right kind of players.

to get all three would be around 150m IMO. Especially if Bayern is being complete fags about not selling Ribery. Would love to Aguero in a Chelsea shirt this season.

Take THAT FERGIE! :eyebrows:

Aguero is the only one I'd like to see in a Chelsea shirt. Pirlo is too old and Ribery is shit.

Of course you are titled to your opinion, but Ribery is hardly shit. But I do agree we don't need him. I too would be more than happy to see Aguero at The Bridge.

Aguero is a decent player but overrated by people who don't actually watch La Liga imho... For under 30m I'd like to see him in a Chelsea shirt.

Ribery is another decent player, could play RM/LM/AM/up top for us and easily hold down a first team place, but Bayern aren't looking to sell, and I doubt we'd beat Real to sign him anyway with Zidane in the mix convincing him to go no where but Real.

Of these three I'd say Pirlo will come. There is a small chance Aguero will come because he has a buy out clause, but its for over 40m isn't it? Can't see it happening personally... Not sure I want it to for 40m, either.
