Apart from winning......my highlight of the match was Ballack smirking behind the ref when the Manu players were hounding the ref after we went 2-1 up.

I was rofl at Evra's penalty.

Great second half by Chelsea, first half was horrible and Man utd kept pounding at us. Certainly not a convincing win but it was nice to see us come back from 1-0 deficit. Is it me or was Rooney's goal offside?

It was defo offside, if anyone says anything like we were lucky cus our second goal we were but it happens in football! it could have happened to us and if it did we would be saying what the UTD fans are saying.

Excellant result... and thank god we finally won a penalty shootout!

One thing i will say and it is something that has been said for a few seasons now, we have a fantastic squad of players. BUT we are missing a player who will cause a real nuisence. Someone who will take players on and cause some havock with real creativity. We can win lots and lots of games this season and will do very well indeed, but i do worry a little that without that special player we may just come up a little short.

But great game today, the Ballack incident isn't even worthy of discussion, happens in virtually every single game in the Premiership.

Cech - Top class , awesome performance in the game and in penalties.

Ivanovic - Disaster , the huge weak link for Chelsea at right back , luckily for Chelsea this was a friendly game and not the premier league.

Carvalho - Everyone knows Ive long been a fan of the man , though even I had written him off and said he is past it following his few showings last season . Oh how to be proved wrong , world class performance from a world class defender , playing and on form there are few better than the man.

Terry - Could have maybe done better with the first goal but alongside Carvalho an excellent performance.

Cole - Excellent , not so good going forward but looked solid at the back.

Mikel - I rate the guy very highly but he was really poor today.

Essien - Decent in the first half out wide , once he moved into the holding role the man was immense , keep him there.

Malouda - Did pretty good , though he doesn’t have the pace he once had he is intelligent enough to be able to replace it with his ability on the ball.

Lampard - quite first half , very good second half as he really pushed up on Fletcher and led the pressing up of Man Utd high up the pitch.

Anelka - Decent performance.

Drogba - Good performance , when on the ball he was dangerous , his first touch and link up was excellent , caused problems for Man Utd’s defence and was heavily involved in both goals.

Cech - Decent performance, made some good saves, should have saved nani's shot though

Ivanovic - Nani made a fool of him in the first half, didnt perform well at all

Carvalho - Legend.

Terry - Decent performance, tackle on Evra from behind was immense, But what the fuck was he doing infront of Cech in the first goal?

Cole - Good performance, i actually thought he did well going forward (replying to the comment in the above post).. he did well to link up with Flo-Mo

Mikel - He was supposed to take the pace of things, but when you compare his performance to Essien's in the Holding Mid Role, it was'nt up to the mark.

Essien - Didn't impress me on the side, not his fault really, was world class (himself) in the Holding role

Malouda - Looked good, liked him, he was good in the first half too..

Lampard - Good Goal, Played well as an AM, didnt like him at all at the right where he had to go cause of Deco

Anelka - OK Performance, could have done more, but the important thing was he linked up with Drogba well, good to see..

Drogba - Looked a bit lazy in the beggining, but went on to give a good performance, pressured Foster to make mistakes, decent performance, but he knows he's done better.
