the wes 7,212
Ricardo Carvalho praised Chelsea youngsters Sam Hutchison and Michael Mancienne after victory over Club America. The Portugal defender told chelseafc.com: "They have got quality and it is good to see Hutch come back from injury, he is doing very well. "Of course it is not his position, he likes to play more as a central defender, like Michael does as well, but they can do the full-back job as well. But for me they are better as centre-backs, they enjoy that there. They are good defenders so they can do it either at full-back or centre-back." EskWeston 696
We need to find a good loan move for Hutchinson this season. He has yet to have that move due to his injuries and he would certainly thrive on a loan move. Sam is a good lad and reminds me in many ways of JT. Mancienne we all know about now. This is where the club need to pull their finger out when it comes to bringing our youngsters through. Mancienne has had good loan spells now and has done all that has been asked of him, we need to now be doing all we can to integrate him into the first team. No-one expects (or shouldn't anyway) him to be a regular. But we need to use him properly as a squad player and let him grow within the team. EskWeston 696
Maybe send Hutchinson to some Newly promoted team? For a first loan it would be very difficult to get a Premiership loan. Like Mancienne, Bertrand and Cork ect.. a Championship loan move is more likely.
BlueLion. 21,491
Brendan Rodgers seems happy to take players on loan at Reading, and he knows them inside out. A move there or to a team that has a habit of playing youngsters would be ideal for Sam.
