EskWeston 696
Joe Cole underwent minor surgery yesterday (Wednesday) to correct a small tear in his meniscus. In light of his previous surgery, excellent rehab and recent return to full training, this is only a minor setback and we expect Joe to return to full training in approximately one month. As a result, Joe has not joined the party for the tour of America, which is listed below. Petr Cech Hilario Ross Turnbull Branislav Ivanovic Ashley Cole Michael Essien Ricardo Carvalho Andriy Shevchenko Frank Lampard Franco Di Santo Didier Drogba John Mikel Obi Michael Ballack Claudio Pizarro Florent Malouda Scott Sinclair Jose Bosingwa Deco Salomon Kalou Daniel Sturridge John Terry Alex Juliano Belletti Nicolas Anelka Michael Mancienne Sam Hutchinson New signing Yuri Zhirkov will be joining the tour in progress. source: Chelsea FC
EskWeston 696
So only Sam Hutchinson really going on the tour as a youngster! Mancienne and Sinclair were expected to go really. Bit of a blow for Ryan Bertrand and Jack Cork though, they need a loan at as big of a club as possible. Not good news for Joe Cole either..... Blue FC 3
No youth eh?! Pretty annoying, espc. seeing Pizarro's going, must mean he's staying.

diskoviolente 425
Good to know that Joey is not rushed into the sqaud but gets his time to recover completely. Watch out and learn, Luis !
EskWeston 696
Going on the tour doesn't mean that certain players will 100% be staying. It is just that our pre season training is continuing in America. I would be suprised to see either Pizarro or Shevchenko still here when the transfer window closes. Term-X 7,891
pizzaro needs to be sold otherwise what was the point in sturridge and di santo will never play again, although seems as nobody wants sheva i guess ancelotti will let him stay (probably)

True but thats pretty much waste of tickets. Sheva and Pizzaro wont be here next season, why take them...? Why not take Bertand/Cork or Kakuta instead....? Seriously, I dont blame Nouble, We actually take two loaned players in place of two talented youngsters...

NoFear 23
Like EskWeston told, Im sure those 2 are not gonna be around when the season starts. But the problem is you gotta keep them physically fit if sum1s gonna buy them.. That explains y they are on the tour !!
chrismada9 1,948
seems as nobody wants sheva i guess ancelotti will let him stay (probably) well, Dinamo Kiev wanted to bring him back, but their interest seems to have died down somewhat
Matterz 67
I think Ancelotti would probably want to have a look at all his players before he decides who can go, that is why Sheva and Pizzaro are on tour, remember Pizzaro had a great season with Bremen and maybe Ancelotti feels he could use him
True_Blue 469
Drogba,Anelka,Pizzaro,Shevchenko,Kalou and perhaps Di santo we won't be lacking fire power finally.

Ollie 4,400
Sheva played pre season for us last year and i swear he never touched the ball. SWP even played well in pre season and he went too, so did bridgey in fact, he missed the pen against lokomotiv. I'm happy Sheva and Pizarro are going, just be cool if they score, Pizarro was good last season by the way for a shit bremen team. He might play with some confidence and hit it off (well maybe not). Lets just see what happens.

BlueLion. 21,491
I'm glad they've taken Shevchenko and Pizarro. They are two players who I really hope get a second chance to prove themselves.
