The game management after VVDs goal was genuinely incredible.

Compared to how we dealt with Arsenal pulling a late goal back last season, night and day.

Hopefully everyone is starting to learn including the manager as he is fairly new to this as well

Happy for Palmer, but credit to Sanchez as well in this game.

2nd game in a row with a solid performance and that's as much as you could want from a goalkeeper at this level.

Caicedo, Lavia - enough said.

Caicedo really deserving to getting mentioned in the Essien Kante Makelele category.

Faultless at RB and slotted in well back into the CM role in the same game.

And of course Madueke. Best attacker for large portions of the game.

Just want to mention that Lavia was an absolute beast. A prime example of what a DM should be - without it being obvious in stats or the naked eye on TV.

That guy is literally my favourite player when on the pitch. Shows everyone how important it is to read the game off the ball. Imo, he is the closest player we've had since JT with regards to reading the overacrhing flow of a game and having tactical discipline.

A question for everyone. Anyone notice the change in control of the game when he left the field and do they think the goal conceded would've happened with him on the pitch?

Goal wouldn't happen if just Noni put some effort in chasing VVD.  Embarrassing how nonchalant he was.

But yeah, Lavia is our Rodri. Most important player. When he plays, you don't think Sanchez and CBs are our biggest problem because that's how much he makes us better in defense and controlling the game. Jackson was so frustrating this should be priority to upgrade.

With Lavia and Enzo being so good and Santos coming I think Caicedo moving permanently to RB is reasonable option especially since how poor Gusto and James have been. No chance Enzo will switch to play with 3 midfielders. He has one system and Estevao is coming as well.

massive 3 points, we did what we had to do. Scousers couldn’t care less since they are champions, but we still had to perform. Its great to finally get a win against the scousers after so long. on to the next one💪

They didn’t have their full side and that’s why I’m chirpy.when we lost the carabao to them the soaps were mouthing off saying we couldn’t even beat their kids remember? Imagine if they had won. F*ck em.

Mehh Ipswich had their full side and we still just scraped a draw. Can only beat whose in front of you and wasn't like a team of nobodies. Still same goalie..same Salah. Glad we managed to win in a convincing way!

Problem is Lavia's fitness and until Santos returns, we won't know how he plays next to Enzo in midfield.

There's also some serious interest in Santos from other clubs, so it'll be interesting to see what happens with him.

Its such a shame that we have to beat Newcastle & Forest away to have a shot at making the top 5.

Good win against Liverpool, nice to see Palmer finally get back to scoring, when he hit the post from that tight angle, I thought it wasn't going to be his day!

Nah. In my calculations we draw both and win against United at home and we are top5.

Now it's essential not to lose in Newcastle. Winning against on the beach lower table United should not be a problem. Especially at home where our recent form is great. And in the last round we arrive at Nottingham while they will have a pressure of must win. So on the counters we will have a great opportunity to win although draw would work as well which is massive.

Yep. Draw both and it will be enough since Newcastle have Arsenal away still left - where they likely drop points.

but the problem is you take it to the final day and anything can happen there. Would much rather be comfortably 3rd/4th on the final day

So we need to beat Newcastle next game.

Because I think 5th place will miss CL since in Europa League you have United and spurs. One of them will get CL and the 5th place will get bump out.

We need to finish 4th place then.

Didn't think that was the case. Europa league winner is simply an additional slot, rather than a direct replacement.
