The waves in the Chelsea sea have now got so big that Clearlake and the sporting directors are about to get dunked on. The fans have had enough. Their voices are getting louder. Protests are being planned. Anti-ownership songs are being sung at games. The tide has turned on them, and they’re about to get […]

Article is spot on. To summarise -the current custodians priority is profit not success...

How does Winstanley get such a big promotion from being Head of Scouting at Brighton to being put in charge of recruitment overall and transfer negotiations at Chelsea FC? Just read that again and truly deep it. It’s absolutely mental. Did he lie on his CV do you reckon!?

Short answer is Boehly and Eghbali are clueless. Really I think they think making us into Brighton will be deemed as successful.

All this money we’ve cut off of wages and lowering the average age etc will ultimately mean nothing if the club doesn’t win trophies. It won’t be remembered.

Said something similar about this the summer when we signed Caicedo, Lavia etc, folk were ranting and raving about how we got good young players on long term deals, lower wages, lower ages, how Boehly, Eghbali, Winstanley, Stewart, Joe Shields were all amazing and all that bullshit.

The Abramovich model wasn’t perfect, far from it, but it was much much better than the current one because it was aimed at sporting success. Not spreadsheet success. This mob have done nothing but completely destabilised the club - we are on an incredible slope from a 15-20 years period that were incredibly successful despite the odd spell of turmoil every now and then.

Yup. There are two other massive problems as I see it ( apart from Egbali and Boehly) - outsourcing - especially the physio and treatment

Also the stat driven obsession in acquiring players totally ignores one or two experienced heads that would be indispensible in the dressing room, who would also be shouting and goading on the pitch. People that have been there when the shit hits the fan, and have also tasted success is what's needed in the mix of youngsters.

Without a few of those its pissing in the wind...
