This will be a real marker of where we adem if we fail to beat yet another traditionally top 6 side, that will make it 6 out of 6. We need to not play safe like we did against City, Arsenal, Utd and the Dippers. Need to put a marker down here.

That said I expect a draw - probably a back and forth one.

spuds were shambolic just now versus Bournemouth

lost 1 nil but could easily have been 4 or 5 nil

Bournemouth shot like shit on so many easy chances

spuds almsot produced nothing of import

Kepa had a picnic for his 6th clean sheet in his last 7 games v the yids

They not long ago spanked both Manchester clubs too, didn’t they? But then lose to small teams and look pathetic.

They do still have Son, Kulu, and Brennan Johnson who can be dangerous if we allow them to be. But from what I’m reading from Spuds fans is that they are totally shambolic at the back and at keeper.

With our attack being so good we should be slaughtering this lot. We should start with our most aggressive wingers here, so Noni & Neto. Those two plus Nico pressing and Palmer pulling the strings should be far too much for them to handle. It’ll be all about how locked in our defense is as to not allow Spuds to have a chance.

Solanki is sick, but could play. Might affect his endurance.

Vicario is out

Richarlison is out

van de Ven is out

Moore is out

Romereo is out

Odobert recovering from surgery out

Bentencur is suspended

Solanke played 90 mins yesterday. He is fine but Ben Davies got injured last night so that leaves Dragusin as their only fit CB. Davies was filling as CB with Romero and Van de Ven injured.

Depends who is playing in our defense, our CB's tend to have heart attack moments every now and then, particularly Disasi and co.

My concern is our midfield with Dejan running inside. Southampton cut us to ribbons before their red card, something we saw so often last season. Very interesting game to see where we're at, enjoying the journey so far.

That should look totally different with what I assume will be the same team from Villa with Moi at inverted RB and Lavia back in the side. We should be much more secure defensively.

Surely it’ll be Tosin or Badiashile partnering Colwill. My choice would be Tosin. Huge threat on attacking set pieces and corners and also a mountain defending them. Plus, he’s not as prone to crazy howlers on the ball like Disasi is.

Agree. I suspect the set up to be similar to Villa at the back. Although he may go with Gusto at RB with Enzo dropping out. It will probably depend on the condition of the players and how he weighs up attach v defence against this Spud side.

As for the CB. I would be amazed if it is not Badi. Especially after Tosin and Disaster started midweek.

My predicted line-up is:

Sanchez

Moi Badi Colwill Cucu

Lavia Enzo

Sancho Palmer Neto

Jackson
