No balance in MF 😂? Liverpool have got the best defensive record in PL this season… only 2 goals against. You think they’d have that if they were hugely unbalanced in MF?

Gravenberch has been very impressive for them. Looking as if he may be the player they needed in that sort of more defensive position.

In all fairness, a Jota winner would have summed the squad up. It's hard to strike this up as "one of those days" when we failed to get the better of Palace for similar reasons.

Brighton last week played a crazy defense system.
They could have conceded 11 like that.
Then Gent on Thursday were low lifers - dropsie goalkeeper as well.
Now against packed defense problem again.

If we judged him off the price tag, we were robbed. I honestly don't know what he excels at or offers on a regular basis.

Could just tell it was going to be one of those games before it kicked off. Forest with the dark arts, international break looming and going 1-0 down and making hard work of it. Emzo was a fucking joke in this game, he really does offer nothing most of the time and it is becoming more visible.

Now two weeks to Liverpool with two suspended. Brilliant

Gravenberch has been playing a deeper defensive role this season and has been outstanding. Mac Allister is also decent defensively. They do not play Endo nearly as much as der Kloppmeister did.

Thats why alot of the pundits were shocked that we were so eager to pay his release clause at Benfica.   He's a good midfielder on his day but he's not really a DM or AM that can properly influence the game. 

Feel like the opposition know that he's not really up for a physical battle in midfield.

I had hoped that with time, he would progress in such areas. He's basically a luxury at this time, which cannot be afforded at such a position, as opposed to forward.

He was supposed to be a playmaker like Cesc, no DM.

That is the issue, however. There wasn't enough of a sample size to expect him to be a consistent playmaker at the highest level.

Unfortunately, Argentina's World Cup success just enhanced the hype surrounding him rather than his actually performances.
