Chelsea 1-1 Nottm Forest

Neto scored last two starts.

Madueke didn't last 5. That's one obvious change.

With Lavia also being fit again it will be interesting to see what happens there.

Also worth mentioning that Cucurella and Fofana are already on 4 yellows. So one more and they will miss one of the big games coming.

The two after this Newcastle and Liverpool will see if we have the mettle to be back in the big time - but Forest will be no cakewalk

Our 7 games after this one and between two international breaks:

Liverpool away

Panathinaikos away

Newcastle home

Newcastle away

Manchester United away

Noah home

Arsenal home

Very hard schedule especially in PL. Hopefully our big depth makes the difference.

It had to be Liverpool away as our first fixture after the international break.

Honestly don't care about that game. If it goes south, great. Our objective is top 4., and Liverpool, Arsenal & City are in a different level.

The important games are the Newcastle fixtures right after that. Hope we can pick up things there.

And of course, the most important fixture is tomorrow.

The last of our 'relatively easy' run of fixtures until the break. Let's make the most of it.

We just need to compete & not repeat recent performances against Arsenal and Liverpool away, for example to show that we are making steady progress and closing the distance.

I’d absolutely swap out Madueke for Neto for this. Noni needs to be continuously pushed to improve his levels and him being a nailed on starter when he hasn’t been killing it in the past few matches isn’t right.

Tbh, I can see a match where even Nico Jackson isn’t the right forward to start with. We should probably expect Forest to be super compact and deep sitting in a solid low block, right? So that really nullifies how effective Jackson can be.

Imo, perhaps we should go with our best attackers who excel in tight, restricted space against a deep bus? Either Felix or Nkunku should start.

Hopefully our players seeing everyone around us win yesterday gives them even more desire to win today. If we want to be serious about the top 4 then we can’t be losing or dropping points at home against Forest when we’re in a good run of form. Must win match.

Slightly disappointed that Noni starts again. Needs a big performance here to justify him now being a nailed on starter when Neto looked really dangerous midweek.

I see they have Chris Wood starting as well as Ward-Prowse. Together with CHO their plan looks clear. Pump as many crosses and corners into the box as possible and try to win free kicks near our box. The likes of Fofana, Caicedo, and Gusto have to be hyper aware of this and not give away silly fouls in our half or Forest can absolutely punish us.

We've seen how Ward-Prowse can kill us in the past with his delivery.
