When you look at it, Lampard, Drogba and Essien have been our best players for the last while. Lampard and Drogba got taken off, With Essien injured. Pair that with some bad goalkeeping by Cech and they score 3 goals. IMO, Liverpool will see the long ball as a problem, Hiddink will have it fixed by Tuesday so Liverpool will waste possesion in the first half until at HT they can think up of a new gameplan, 45 Minutes isn't enough to score 3 goals so its that 20 minutes that guarenteed our Semi Final place IMO.

I really think we missed Alex today, personally. His strength, height and power would have bene perfect to counter Kevin Davies, who was absolutely brilliant for Bolton. 3 assists today for the big striker. Always has a good game at the Bridge.

How often, as a manager, do you just take off two players when you are four goals up and replace them with players who can be just as effective and expect to concede three goals? No blame lies with Hiddink, just with the players in my opinion.

The only game being broadcast at the time was the Manure game. so my dad and I watched that. During the game, it comes up with live scores, we see Chelsea get to 4-0, we're very happy and wish we could watch it... then we see Bolton score, ok ok, thats not too bad. They score again, still everything is ok. then they score a third and we're shitting ourself and wondering what the hell happened to concede 3 goals in 10 or whatever it was minutes...

sure you can come up with excuses like, Essien wasnt playing, Lampard and Drogba got taken off. but there is NO excuse to be 4-0 up and allow the other team to score 3 goals and almost catch up, no excuse at all. No matter of the team. Who ever was playing, be it younger players or some who havent played for a while, they should NOT concede 3 goals in 10+ minutes.

But, 3 points is 3 points. Chelsea should just have a good look at what happened and what went wrong.

I agree with you in that point, but lost our entire attacking threat when both players went off. I think for that reason it was bad tactics, BUT if you can't take off your best players when 4-0 up, when can you? We lost our organisation as an attacking force and that cost us as Bolton played much higher up the pitch, but as you say, we were fucking shocking in the last 20 minutes. Its a shame, because it was one of our best displays at the Bridge this season until then.

You can´t expect such great performances of a player game in game out, if you ask me.

I know, lots of people see this different because of all the money they are paid and so on.

BUT better Cech having bad 20 minutes in a league game we won as in a CL game.

I take the three Bolton-goals as the price to pay for knocking out Liverpool.

Cech will know he wasn´t at his best, but he will focus on tuesday and be up again and jump through the box like a fucking mad man !
