the wes 7,212
QUOTE Chelsea are being linked with a shock move for Tottenham defender Gareth Bale, while Juventus are also keen.Bale has struggled to command a regular place in Harry Redknapp's side at White Hart Lane and reports have claimed that Chelsea are preparing a bid to take him to Stamford Bridge.Whether Bale would fancy playing second fiddle to Ashley Cole at Chelsea remains to be seen, while Cristian Molinaro and Paolo De Ceglie would be ahead of him in the pecking order at Juve.Redknapp will be looking to make changes to his squad in the summer and Bale could be a casualty. There would be no shortage of offers for the Welshman though and Chelsea could be heading the queue for his services.Jamie O'Hara and Tom Huddlestone could also be on the move if reports in the press are to be believed with Fulham said to be keen on the duo.http://www.clubcall.com/tottenham-hotspur/...tch-881972.html
BlueLion. 21,491
I think he'd be a brilliant buy tbh. Cover for LB AND LM.
Elliott 7
Would be a decent buy, but would he even come to be back-up?
Steve 10,227
He is a decent player and someone we should look into but only if he is willing to be a back up for our current players, which personally i cannot see happening.
Badboy 1,526
If we switch too a 4-4-2 this could be a good buy.

Ollie 4,400
Read the first post n thought wtf? oh right, this is 2 years ago lol. £40m... well in todays market he's probably worth it tbh because he plays his best football in big games against the best players and teams. I'd love him here.
chrismada9 1,948
Tottenham will NOT want to sell an asset to a rival club however, that's why I reckon this deal isn't worth thinking about. I only posted the source up, because what I read about him wanting to play in the top flight in Europe again got my attention. Sparkie 27
Bit of a laugh considering that our left side is so strong already, the fact that it is Tottenham and also because it's Gareth Bale, the EPL's saviour and future Pope.

Ollie 4,400
He'd help us to become a ridiculously good attacking side. He wont be at Yids for long anyway, he's pure class. If we got him, wow

MetsajCFC 1,255
Overrated. rather have Sanchez. He is not overrated, he is that good. Dismantling Inter on his own and out running world class defenders as if they were schoolboys. Finishing is excellent, attitude aswell. Would be a perfect buy. Having said that I'd like Sanchez myself if he comes in at a good price (in other words we won't engage in a bidding war with City)
NoFear 23
Not sure if he is over-rated or not, but definitely would not fit our 4-3-3 system. He is more useful in a team that plays on the counter, where he will have loads of space to knock the ball and run onto. In a system like ours where we are often in the opposition half and get congested, he isn't the trickiest player to beat 2-3 ppl and create something out of nothing. That is why i think players like hazard, neymar, sanchez or marin would be useful to us. He does have an excellent cross and shot in him though. I like the idea of him being our LB once Cole is done. But definitely not as our winger in a 4-3-3.
SinineUltra 1,170
Gareth Bale is easily better than our left wingers, he would be behind Ashley Cole at LB but as LM/LW, no way, he has the pace and necessary technique - enough to shred opponent's right side into pieces. UCL against Inter games were just a glimpse of what he can do, he also fooled Real Madrid's Ramos so the only way you could stop him was persistant fouling and tryng to break his rythm. And that's not a great tactic, bcs you end up with 10 men in most cases Versus Chelsea he ran faster with the ball than Kalou without the ball and i wouldnt class Kalou as a slow player.. even he had a grin on his face after that. He is still young and surely a player to look out for...
