Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck says they're attempting to bring in more English players.

He told Chelsea TV: "I don't know if it will actually happen but the plan is for it to happen gradually and 6+5 isn't until 2012 to 2013.

"We appreciate it is important to have more English players and that is one of the objectives of [chief scout and director of youth development] Frank Arnesen and his staff - to find more English players, put them in the Academy and develop them into first team players.

"Those of us who went to law school think it [the 6+5 regulation] probably violates European Union law but I suspect there will be something like this."
