Aesthetic Relic 301
Sun Ballack still backs Blues title bid MICHAEL BALLACK insists Chelsea will NEVER give up their pursuit of the Premier League title. The Blues are four points behind leaders Manchester United and have played a game more than Alex Ferguson's men. But midfielder Ballack still believes they can challenge for the crown. He said: "We are not a team that ever give up. "It's going to take something big for us to be able to win the league but in football you never know. "We have to enjoy the moment we are in. "Right now we are winning games and looking forward to the next one." Chelsea are unbeaten in four league matches under new boss Guus Hiddink and Didier Drogba has been key to their revival. Ballack added: "We are now seeing signs of the old Didier. "As a striker you need even more confidence than players in other positions and the way you get it is with goals. "Strikers want to score and when they do, they feel good. "Didier looks more happy now because he is spending more time on the pitch. It's great that he's back fit again. "You always need games to get yourself really back on form when you've been out for a while. He's getting them now. "Him being back on song can play a big part in the remainder of the season. For us the season is still very much alive. "The change of manager has had a positive effect. "We have to keep going now. We have this momentum and we need to keep it going as long as we can." Its good that the fighting spirit has returned, but Ballack should be worrying more about his spot in the starting 11 since Essiens return. Essien has done more in his 2 games than Ballack's done in months.

Kez 2,727
It's still mathematically possible so the attitude should be that we can still win it

TylerCFC 7
Sun Its good that the fighting spirit has returned, but Ballack should be worrying more about his spot in the starting 11 since Essiens return. Essien has done more in his 2 games than Ballack's done in months. Fucking thrilled that Essien is back, and it seems the squad is aswell. I think Ballack put in one of his better performances this year against Man City and hope he can keep it up.
diskoviolente 425
Hear it here first : Ballack will score THE MOST IMPORTANT goal in the FA-Cup and in the CL Just when we all want Chelsea so desperate to score ! Why ? Because he has a sense for thrilling moments.

That said, reckon this could be his last season in blue...
diskoviolente 425
I think he deserves a big trophy at the end... That doesn´t mean our other lads don´t, but Ballack is a bit older and might not have the chance to win a trophy like the CL anymore Edited March 18, 2009 by diskoviolente
BlueLion. 21,491
The title is out of reach in my opinion, doesn't mean we should just give up though. Chelsea are playing for pride from now till May IMO.

diskoviolente 425
Than he will contribute to the succes (or the team) in another way, like he always does and did even this season not being his best. I am not a friend of "A player has a bad season, sell him, even if he tries everything" Yes he is old, but i think it takes some old guns to win games
