carefreeluke 27
Steve Clarke or Avram Grant back please. As much as i love Ray Wilkins he can go too. If i had to choose between them it would be Steve Clarke. He probaly deserves it too with service he has given us over the years. Isn't it funny though. Steve Clarke went to West Ham they started playing well. Steve Clarke leaves Chelsea and we start playing badly.
DavidEU 2,023
Btw, any racist/anti-semetic 'jokes' about Grant will lead to IMMEDIATE bans. You've been warned.
BlueLion. 21,491
I don't want Avram Grant back, he can stay away from the club as far as I'm concerned. I appreciate he actually did a decent job but I don't want him back. I have nothing against him, I just think he took the credit for a lot of stuff he didn't do - if you ask me it was Clarke who did most of the training and motivation of the team. Rijkaard is the only option I would be happy with.

BlueLion. 21,491
Frank bloody Rijkaard?! No thanks Alex. He's won the Champions League and plays excellent football. He's a better option than most.

EskWeston 696
This is an almost impossible one to call. No matter what i think there will a large chunk of people not happy with whoever we appoint! One name not mentioned yet. Martin O'Neil..... BlueLion. 21,491
I don't think he would leave a team 3rd in the table and flying high to come to one that has lost every ounce of respect and integrity it ever had.
pippin 0
i supect your taking this badly blue lion. i agree with esk there needs to be wholesale change through the club. i doubt very much the o'neil will leave villa

.Cee 50
I don't think we should go for Hiddink as he's too old. Someone around Mourinho's age or younger for the long term would be great.
benji_blue 3
Hi Guys and Gals, long time reader, first time poster!!! After this afternoons new I jus thad to send a post. Personally I can see Rijkaard being appointed although I would love to see Zola and Clarke back. Not sure if there are many managers out there who can take Chelsea to the next level. Moyes has done great at Everton and some one who demands respect from the changing room, he would be interesting, and wouldn't take any cr4p from the big ego's in our dressing room. I would like to see whoeve takes charge that it would be part of a bigger plan and that they are given time, lets write of this season, get to the summer get rid of the dead wood and sign players who want to play for Chelsea rather than players who are here for the money. I would rather see a player like Bullard who will run and run for the club than Deco or Ballack who loose the ball and do nothing to get it back. carefreeluke 27
Steve Clarke is why Zola is doing so well at West Ham now and why Avram Grant did so well with us. He took all the team talks and training sessions when Grant was in charge. Grant was quiet and may have struggled if Steve was not there. He's worked with a number of great managers in the past and Zola has said that he is really good with the players and that he's training sessions are very good and organized. Steve Clarke a Chelsea legend. He definitely deserves the job with the service he has given us over the years.
PaulHopkins 1
I think we must resist the temptation to go for Zola at this stage - give him a few years at West Ham first.

I would agree that Rijkaard has to be the favorite for many reasons. Moyes i am not convinced about, i would rather O'Neil than Moyes. Can we take a chance on a relatively unknown like Barca did, look where they are now - could we do the same with say Brendan Rodgers, Zola or Di Matteo? Wholesale changes are needed at this club, at management and player level. And we need someone strong to do that.
