Tejera

Real Mallorca have swooped to sign Spanish Under-17 star midfielder Sergio Tejera, 18, from Chelsea -various.

Not sure if its a loan or what. Get rid of these youngsters if they're not going to play.

Would rather they had a chance , rather than getting Decos and Mineiros in personally. Mourinho was playing Jimmy Smith 3 years ago, now what ?

Been trying to find out since yesterday if this is a loan, a loan with a view to a permanant deal or a transfer altogether! If it is anything other than a loan and him comming back then it is very dissapointing.

Tejera was an excellant prospect, last season he put in some very impressive displays which made me believe he would be an excellant attacking creative midfielder. This season things have not gone so well for him, but i would say there are reasons for that. Limited reserve games for one (now that he is not eligable for the youth team) also being played out of position for many of the games he HAS played in.

Of course there could always be personal reasons why a move could be on the cards, but i would find it very dissapointing to lose him at this stage.

Regarding your last point FB i would agree that now we should be using our youngsters more, we have an excellant group comming of age and ready for the chance of a step up! Jimmy Smith though, while and excellant prospect a few seasons ago has dropped considerably in standard, a lot to do with a couple of bad injuries with long lay-offs. A permanant move to Orient and then try and work his way up would be the best move for Jimmy now.

Using some dodgy translation site of RCD Mallorca's website, it seems to be a loan move, with the option to make it permanent at the end of the season.

Well then thats a little dissapointing. He is still young and certainly not one to be written off yet as he has shown a lot of promise.

Well it may be that he requested a move back to Spain. It may be that Mallorca offering what is apparently first team opportunities was what swayed it for him.

More than likely, still a shame. We want to be holding onto our more talented youngsters and do everything possible to bring them through, if this was a straight loan deal then it would have been perfect.
