LAM09 7,056
We've failed to beat two sides that will almost certainly be in the Championship next season. Mhsc 1,097
Feel like the last time I enjoyed the way our team played strategically under Poch was in preseason when we had Andrey Santos playing and Poch went with a 3-2-5 setup in possession, that team looked like it had so much potential. The only huge positive we've had from this year is Cole Palmer, thank god we've got him on a 7-8 year contract. It is really hard to engage with the team when there is no signs we are building towards anything, there's no clear system the squad are learning and most players are stagnating or getting worse as time goes on. Pre-season is a different sport (no-contact football), but it's not surprising our mid looked better with a skillful player in in. Santos might end up being subpar, but I like to think of characteristics and what we are missing in midfield. I think it's abundantly clear esp given Enzo's current form. We basically have a rounded player, Enzo, whos been average at best. A good b2b who moves a lot, and can join the attack, but is limited on the skill side of the game. And then we have a pure ball-playing mid who has zero contribution in attack -- I fail to see any other big club in the PL employing such a player/role. He shouldn't say it, and he's not the guy to run that project. Now, f this squad isn't a long-term project, I don't know what it is. Poch is the quick and easy fix... hardly all that is required. People should have come to terms with this so much earlier on this season. Less disappointment for the rest of it. That's the cost of having a team with no game management skills. It still needs to learn it. And not all of it is down to the coach, mediocre he maybe. It's just the inexperience of the players as a whole. Hopefully the ownership won't keep chopping and changing., and allow this current squad to grow with a few key (experienced) additions, and this team can mature next season. These things shouldn’t be questioned anymore. We will prob find a way to win this, but s. United are so poor… and we are playing at their level atm. Team lacks skill esp midfield. Very disappointed with Enzo tbh. Expected more from him. Enzo has been annoying this season. No doubt a very talented player, but his attitude has been so far off it. Instead of picking fights with former traitor players or showing off his jersey after scoring, he should be focusing on his work ethic and controlling his midfield along with his partner. Another one to improve next season. The good thing is, based on his actions, he at least seems committed to remaining in Chelsea for the near future. robsblubot and Johnnyeye

lluubbeenn 174
I was super angry after the game, but I thought about it and I am Poch IN. The big problem is that there is 90% chance we go out to city in the cup. We are where we are in the league and the last 7 games could be as bad as last season, if we don’t find the motivation. We have had a lot of injuries. Almost everyone has been out for some time and some players we have hardly seen on the pitch. Good players presumably. The one ultra stupid squad building decision was loaning Broja without replacement. Most of the recruitment I understand, but leaving Jackson, who has been ok at best alone wasn’t a great idea. We have to admit our defence has been astonishingly bad, but we have stopped loosing. If you want to say we have more luck than in the start of the season I can’t argue with that, although I believe we are improving as are most of the players, when they are freaking fit… We should keep expecting to win every game, because we are Chelsea and it’s important to go mad about every goal and point. I hope the players grow and believe in themselves and in Chelsea. There WILL be a blue tomorrow! 🔵🏆

We may have scored two goals but we did n't bother them most of the game. The defense was at its usual standard ..., a nutmeg and an easy free kick (0.00% are the chances for scoring from that sort of free kick).
King Kante 1,643
I keep asking people what patterns of play they see with Poch? Normally, I am a back the manager type of guy but there is no strategy to our play and we continually only see changes in-game that are reactionary and the same old players stinking up games when they should be dropped. I get the guy isn't going to be sacked now, but even if he somehow flukes an FA Cup, he still has to go in the Summer.
