Aesthetic Relic 301
I just saw on SSN that Scolari has came out and said he knows he has to change things around to get our season back on track. He is willing to look at every detail to sort out the mess we are in. We will go back to the drawing board and start from scratch with tactics, training, etc..... I'm glad he has finally came out and said this as we've been desperate for him to finally swallow some pride and accept that his initial plans have backfired. Could this be the turning point in the season? Probably not....but we still dream.
Steve 10,227
I believe he can turn things around, as much as i was wanted him to go after sundays game, he can turn things around if he changes the tactics and the team like he said he is going to do. I will keep faith and see how we go until the end of the season.
warnie_666 1,081
I am glad this has happened. From Man to Man marking he will change to Zonal Marking which is what most of the teams do and hence finally we will see someone on the post. Why the fuck did he change it to man to man when things were fine with Zonal. Thhat has cost us 4 points already in the league and a draw against Southend. Ollie 4,400
Zonal marking is shit. Just mark man to man and put a couple on the post. Whats the point in marking space? It gives the opposition free space. You HAVE tio mark man to man.
warnie_666 1,081
Jose implemented Zonal Marking and we have been impregnenable with that system for last few years. And so it should have continued.
Elliott 7
Why didn't Scolari notice the cracks before we fell through them?
EskWeston 696
Well it does seem like we have hit a wall. I think things will start to turn around. First thing we need to see is scolari being strong enough to drop the players who are not performing and give other players a chance to impress. For me as a starting point i would not play Ballack, Deco or Drogba in the southend game.
Kez 2,727
How about giving Joe Cole a full game then mate and actually starting our top scorer Edited January 14, 2009 by Kez
BlueLion. 21,491
The way football goes, I strongly believe that the loss on Sunday might actually change the scenario at the club. Chelsea have been put in their place by Manchester United, and now its time to respond. Knowing football, we'll probably go on some crazy winning streak

Aesthetic Relic 301
We've been dragging our heels the last few months were results are concerned, I know one day we'll click and explode on someone. Hopefully tonight we'll finally get our finger out.
