BlueLion. 21,491
Chelsea vs Southend FA Cup, 3 January, 15:00 KO, Stamford Bridge Didier Drogba celebrates scoring against Cluj Southend travel to Premier League giants Chelsea in the FA Cup Third Round. Chelsea will be red-hot favourites to progress to the next stage of the competition they won in 2007, although Burnley's shock upset in the Carling Cup earlier in the season, coupled with Barnsley's stunning wins over both Chelsea and Liverpool in last season's edition will give the away side the smallest glimmer of hope. True_Blue 469
Chance for a few youngsters,we should start with Stoch,Sinclair and Di Santo and rest some of our players. I predict a 2-0 win
chrismada9 1,948
The way we're going at home, it wouldn't be surprising if Southend actually gave us a game. They've beaten Man United in a League Cup game before, so they're no pushover. But I don't expect anything more than a win to be honest Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Southend Edited December 22, 2008 by CJ Revo

Steve 10,227
This game should be an easy win, and im sure we will go through to the next round, as bad as our form has been as of late there should be no slip ups here and a comfortable 4-0 will look good to me. riks12 3
According to The Sun, Phil will play the likes of Cech, J.Cole, Ballack, Deco, Anelka and Drogba. OMFG.
BlueLion. 21,491
Good. Its not as if we're playing a game every three or four days. As much as it would do the reserves and younger players the world of good, we need the team to start gelling, particularly in the defence.
Drogba11CFC 108
Plus it could mean Deco finally being dropped if he plays shit again.
BlueLion. 21,491
To be honest, if we play a shit team, we'll either go out or struggle and scrape through into the next round. I'd rather start 2009 with a bang.
