Welcome Mauricio Pochettino

Well I guess many people on here will be pleased. I previously said “ Be careful what you wish for” and now it looks like it has happened.

I am totally gutted and far more importantly I think the majority of the team will be gutted. We just cannot go on sacking coaches if they don’t gain immediate success. Sixth and European football was a massive step forward in one year at the helm. Many players had improved individually and the team as a whole improved

It was always on the cards that with constant pressure from the media, lack of support from the owners and with a section of supporters not fully behind him, that Poch would walk and it now looks like he has.

I for one think it’s a sad day and a very poor reflection on the club. I dread to think where we go from here .

I don't know, not sure if this is really sacking.. Poch seemed unhappy during the whole season, even spring time, many times I felt he is saying the right thing but his body language and facial expressions showed a person who doesn't really want to be here..

I don't know who should be next.. Tuchel is the best option I feel, but him(same as Conte), their biggest downside is their personality. 6-18 months and they burn up bridges with owners, players, fans.. I'm not too enthusiastic about De Zerbi. McKenna did a wonder with b2b promotion. If I was him, I would accept offer from any other PL team, this Ipswich seems to be the next Luton. But I feel he would be eaten alive here.

That's what's worrying next season we'll be back in this position!!

They won’t learn. The co-sporting directors need to be sacked, been saying it for months and months but this is even more proof that they don’t have a clue.

I mean sacking Poch 3/4 months ago yes it perhaps made sense but actually given how we did over the past few months and finished the season, with another pre-season and summer window coming up, it is absolutely mind blowing.

Also the lack of top, top managers that are out there that would be willing to work with these amateurs running the footballing side of things is incredible too. Anyone presuming that a manager like Conte, Mourinho or Tuchel is coming in and working with those willingly is dreaming.

I mean he has probably started really figuring out which players he can actually trust/use/what we need to improve upon etc. Perhaps he did want to leave more than the club wanting him to leave but all in all I don’t believe that either given Boehly & Clearlakes short history here already.

Everyone is laying into the club but Poch has sounded unhappy all season and clearly wanted out unless he would get some list of demands of his. If he was willing to stay and continue and not cause a fuss, just get on with the job in front of him then I think the club would have kept him. Like I said before, if what he wanted was more control over transfers I am really relieved we let him go. If it was something else, maybe the club have been quite unreasonable. We'll see what leaks I guess.

Depends what control he wanted..if they want to sell certain players for £££££ and he says no as has a plan then he is in the right. End of the day the club has no direction or stability and will continue on this merry go around no doubt

If he refused to continue because the club are insistent on selling Chalobah and Gallagher for example, then I am pretty much ready to abandon all hope for us under the owners
