The Next Manager?

Not saying he is world-class, or even a permanent solution, but he's done a good job in a few clubs at the top level. I mean Mourinho aside (don't think he is an option) who is better and available for us?

True, as a stopgap he would've been a good option. I think he was very hard done by at Real Madrid, the politics he had to deal with was silly.

No way Jose! Chelsea set to ignore Mourinho after approaching Antonio Conte AND Manuel Pellegrini to be next boss

Rafa's days appear numbered at Stamford Bridge but it doesn't look like Blues fans will get the Special One they want

If we snub him and he goes to Shitty we are screwed!

I think it is Moyes or Mourinho. If I was put on the spot I'd say it is going to be Moyes, for the simple fact for Jose to return, would mean Roman keeps his nose out of all things football, which IMO is not going to happen. It is going to need a huge swallowing of pride from Roman, and I don't see it. Whereas Moyes is British, which would make a change, probably going to be un-attached, and if you believe the media he is highly thought of by Roman and his advisors.

I just got a feeling it is going to be Moyes, there is no other reason for him not to sign that contract now with Everton. Man Utd won't be available in the summer, City might, but they wont go for Moyes (mourinho, klopp, loew etc would be their targets) so that's 2 jobs we can rule out. Who else is there realistically? Spurs? No. Arsenal? No. Liverpool? Not a chance. I just cannot see any other reason he is waiting until the summer, other than he has his mobile with him waiting for Chelsea to call. If we do, he joins, if we don't, he re-signs with Everton

Unless of course he goes to Germany...

David Moyes - I am unsure about this. He will have a big treasure chest to spend and I don't think he will look to keep it simple and sign Fellaini or someone from the Premier League. Not bold enough in my opinion.

The only time I've ever seen Moyes linked to a job was with United to succeed Fergie one day. I don't think he's even on Roman's so called short list. Roman's track record for the most part is hiring managers who just won a trophy or a manager who won in the past, used as a stop gap. Plus I don't hear anyone ever praise Moyes for sexy football or bold tactics either. Add zero trophies to that as well. Yes Everton don't spend massively but he could of left them if there were other suitors and it never happened.

There are two options for me: Mourinho, who most would welcome with open arms, or a riskier manager in Laudrup.

Laudrup who was easily on of the best playmakers to ever grace the game clearly has the footballing brains to take up the mantle as a manager. Guardiola himself admitted he broke into tears when he left Barca crying he taught him everything he knows about the game. With the players we have and Laudrup at the helm you'd see a style which the players would enjoy and the big man Roman really wants. I really feel he could help take the likes of Oscar, Hazard, Mata etc to the next level. Who better then Laudrup to scrutinise your passing or nurture our players vision?

Hiring a man who is so revered worldwide could certainly hold it's benefits, instead of hiring Mourinho who would certainly exacerbate the stigmatisation Chelsea already face. Equally the way Roman wields his axe could backfire if he ever felt the need to sack him. Either way if Mourinho doesn't become available or even if he does, I'd be more than happy if we built a legacy with Laurdrup. His contract ends next year so we wouldn't be breaking the bank like we did with AVB too.

Guillem Balague has spoken...

http://sulia.com/channel/la-liga/f/0fa6f242-0d1e-4b2d-94f1-0cfd096d67fb/?source=twitter

Last week, José Mourinho told Canal + France: "It is a possibility, but I dont know when. I cannot say when. Why not?".

If anybody thought that his future is decided, that to me is a new clue that there is a game to be played yet. My information is that PSG would like to have him for next season and that a pre-agreement has been discussed (with wages, length, budgets) but also that Roman Abramovich will welcome him at his old club.

So Mourinho has to decide: he wants to enjoy his profession again after a difficult time at the Bernabeu (where he lost the backing of key members of the squad months ago) and Chelsea would offer him the possibility of being treated like a God by fans that miss him. But PSG would give him the chance of almost a guarantee league title (and domestic cups). Undivided love or win straight away? That is the decision that Mourinho will have to make. And I am sure other clubs will want to interfere in that dichotomy.

What is clear is that Real Madrid is working towards life without Mourinho. He advised on Bale as the main signing of next season (Real Madrid will try to get him, we will see if they do) but, according to sources at the club, he will not coach him if he comes.
