(via @ManuBaio- Sky sports journalist) I like that we are looking at Italian coaches. We have good history with them. Also I'm glad the bullshit about mediocre coaches like Howe and Hughes have died out, I cringed so hard when we were linked. kellzfresh, Tomo, I_Just_Blue_Myself and 1 other

I'm a Chelsea fan because of Zola and Juve fan because of Nedved. At least that is how it all started. Not that I imagine anyone would be interested to know... By the time he leaves City he may have 2 PL trophies on his CV as well so we'd know he has what it takes. To be honest, after this season I wouldn't even mind us having a leaky defense next season as long as we ourselves are blasting teams off the pitch regularly like City do. The most important thing is that whoever it is gets backed with huge funds. The manager could be doomed from the start if we have a repeat of these last two windows whilst our rivals are appointing Pep & Mourinho and have virtually limitless cash and CL football to offer. 8 hours ago, Tomo said: Last summer was tragic, but 2012 and 2014 were absolute brillian windows, that'l could easily happen again next summer. I am highly doubtful that that a brilliant transfer window will occur as profits is the main priority for the Board now and not the team's success on the pitch. Hence, there will be no repeats of the 2014 window.

Even last year their was wide reports we were chasing Pogba and its no secret we were prepared to blow a serious amount on Stones, shows the money and ambition is still there. Also in recent times when we so desparately needed to react in the market we have, 2012 our squad got stale and we needed young blood to add some fresh impetuous, we got that, 2014 we needed creativity and a forward who can score and lead the line, we got just that. We seem to be at ourbest in the market when we are in desperate need, and this summer will fall in that category. Fernando
xPetrCechx 13,573
Allegri is seen by some inside Stamford Bridge as the kind of calming influence the club need after Mourinho. [Telegraph] Allegri’s style has been compared to that of Ancelotti who won a PL & FA Cup at #Chelsea and remains hugely popular at the club. [Telegraph] Simeone's chances of landing the #Chelsea job have taken a big setback as Abramovich has serious misgivings about his playing style. [Mail] Juventus coach Massimilano Allegri and Italy’s national team manager Antonio Conte are currently favoured at #Chelsea senior level. [Mail] Ancelotti recommended Conte to #Chelsea during discussions with their former manager during top secret talks in London in November. [Mail] #Chelsea privately maintain that outgoing City manager Manuel Pellegrini has no chance of getting the job at Stamford Bridge. We seem to be at ourbest in the market when we are in desperate need, and this summer will fall in that category. The Pogba transfer was never on as it was a mere tabloid rumour and I would never believe that the Board would sanction a 60 million pound bid for any player. The Stones debacle clearly showed the Board didn't want to buy Stones as badly as you believe - tabling a derisory 20 million pound opening bid clearly shows the lack of intent by the Board who wanted to do things on the cheap, even for one of England's future defender. i expect a summer of signing has-beens, never-weres, a couple of youngsters for the loan market machine and a panic buy of dubious quality ala Pedro at the end of the window when the season starts badly for the club due to a lack of quality investment and the likes of Hazard and Costa leaving. Replacing Hazard with Griezmann? That's spending 60 million quid! The Board wants a nice new record profit and dividends for themselves with the 80 million or so that they will get from Real Madrid for Hazard.
