Thor 2,705
I actually think he played well in the first half last night. The issue is it was an okay performance when you had Neto and Felix come on and do way better. There isn't any room for him on the team.Β

He needs thorough 1 on 1 coaching with focus on his decision making. Not even sure a loan will help if he is not properly coached over there. I guess he will need at least 1 or 2 more full years in a top league to have the basic understanding of the game down . Not sure we will grant him this time now we are stacked with better wingersΒ He should be offered to Marseille, where he can reunite with his old boss De Zerbi.Β Β

robsblubot 3,595
While I agree that he lacks football IQ, and mental aspects in general (determination, work rate), I don't think that is all. It's subtle, but his first touch isn't great. No, I'm not talking Lukaku, much less Bakayoko bad, but it's just not at the level one would expect from an Elite PL winger. King Kante 1,643
He will need to go out on loan. The Rising Sun 711
His step over and run doesn't work in the premier league. In Ukraine he must've been quicker than the rest but here he just looks stupid when running with the ball because he is exactly one more touch away from losing it and killing Chelsea attacks. I feel bad for him. Would've worked in a Leicester of old kind of counter attacking team with vardy and mahrez. Small pond. Wish he improves but I don't know where he can. That's the thing, technically he just isn't good enough. His lack of technique and decision making are his major weaknesses and you don't improve those a lot at age 23. If he was a random academy player, he'd be loaned or sold a long time ago already. The only thing keeping him in the picture is his price tag - the investors want to minimize their losses, but with each game he devalues himself more. I don't think he'll be here next season. robsblubot

They obviously see something in training which he has just not been able to execute on the actual pitch. Exactly the same things have been said about Solanke when he was at Chelsea and Liverpool. He ultimately exploded last season, Spurs have now taken the risk, but it's still unsure wheter he can maintain that level or back to mediocrity. Difference between top players and Championship-level players is very small actually. There are hundreds or greatly talented players with insane potential around, but ability of making quick and good decisions and putting up with stress at the highest level makes the difference, as well as showing flexibility and responding positively to change(new coach, new system etc.) Mudryk clearly is talented and quick AF but it is also clear he is lacking confidence very much and seems unable to adapt, evolve. Just look at Madueke, they arrived at the same time, he hardly got any chances at the beginning, but one can see he believes in himself and always trying to impress, even it means he seems selfish and wasteful at times. He improved a lot and he definetly improved his position in the squad in the last 18 months, while Mudry going deeper and deeper. Noni always asking for the ball and looking to score goals, Mudryk is hiding behind defenders not to receive the ball and making safe passes not to embarrass himself. This behaviour on the pitch is not taking him anywhere. Β Imo, Mudryk definetly needs a loan to a team where he can be the star player, run the show and enjoy himself, things which he clearly doesn't at Chelsea. I have doubts wheter he is capable to turn things around at this point. I want to say I am cheering for him, but for me he is not a likeable charachter at all. What they see in training may be a fact he is athwart the pitchΒ against the plastic cones. Don't think the presence of basic footballing IQ and vision or lack of thereof is something dependent on whether your tummy hurts because you are stressed to play in front of fans. In eastern leagues running fast will do just fine, in seriously pro football, not so much.Β Β
