He was great and acted as true captain. He was around the action arguing with referee and opposition. He neutralized Bale, made a great assist with a rocket run after taking ball from Bale and went on to score a beauty with a volley from outside the box later on. Overall, we finally got a new true captain in our national team.

I would not drop him for any game so soon.Probably best if we sub him off in the later stages of the second half so that we could see some glimpses of Cesar before saying that Spaniard is a better rb than Iva.

What we're saying is that Ivanovic probably needs to be dropped or rested, if you like, because his form has been dire as of late. That would be reasonable to say if Ivanovic has been performing dire for numerous games in a row, not after 3/4 below average games at the start of the season.

His defensive positioning was never his strong point but it's been poor this season. Part of that is that because we are playing such a tight formation, we rely on our fullbacks to give us width in the attack and Brana has been a big part of a number of our goals but yes, this is something we need to sort out at some point. (Hopefully by getting more width up front).

Has been the case for awhile now. Hate it when both of our FBs are so high up the pitch when our CBs are in possession. They're basically just taking themselves out as a passing option and when that happens, it is where to we start to pass sideways, backwards or see Luiz makes one of his aimless long balls forward.

This is a direct result of us playing Mata, Hazard, Oscar behind the striker. They are all natural no.10 and so it falls to our fullbacks provide width for the team. Play Moses or Marin in front of him and watch his defensive positioning improve.
