Agreed. It'll be a manager who can come in immediately otherwise they would've had him see out the season. Additionally, I doubt it is a manager who was available prior to the break, so that rules out Zidane, Poch and Enrique.

Only two managers fit this is JN and Conte. I cannot see the club going to Conte in a million years unless the board are p*ssed off with the players. So, it has to be presumed it is JN.

Pochettino.

Disagree. Even if all the managers in the world were available Nagelsmann and Enrique would be top of my list.

I get Nagelsmann but why Enrique? Total clueless with Spain at the world cup.

I'm intested in knowing why people not big on Pochetino. The owner clearly wants long term as well youth in the mix. And Pochetino is perfect with that.

Plus with Enzo in the lineup I'm sure Pochetino would love to work him.

I see what Todd wants and to me Pochetino ticks all the boxes.

I just want a damn manager who has EVERY SINGLE PLAYER on the pitch knowing precisely what their role is and has it pounded into their brains what patterns to play so that it’s second nature. Like City and Arse have. Their players seem to know exactly where to be and exactly which passes to play all the time. Basically a maniacal, micro-manager type guy who is obsessed with perfection on the pitch. No more passive, quiet, puzzled looking guys.

Nagelsmann seems to be that from what I’ve seen.

Then we better stay away from Nagelsmann. What I heard from Bayern-fans he kinda outsmarted their own players, leaving them confused. I guess his problem was that he is way too intelligent for the average football player and couldnt break it down for them.

Nagelsmann can't come soon enough.

Ok, but what the hell was he supposed to say? Sports interviews are super boring anyway. If any player says something honest or exciting, it becomes worldwide scandal(Ronaldo, Lukaku).

Bruno was Potter’s right hand, he is now interim coach for a few days, of course he will not make waves.

The problem with Nagelsmann is that, like Potter, he changes both tactics and players too often.
Much of the criticism against him from Bayern fans was that they did not build any continuity at all, which is one of the problems we had with Potter.

As for the mico-manager type of coach obsessed with perfection, you exactly described Enrique.
That's why I lean more towards Enrique than Nagelsmann.

The only constant with Nagelsmann is that Havertz will be the first name on the team sheet.

And that in itself is a frightening though.

Not if he gets him going and plays him properly.

Enrique, has all of the trait of a successful manager. Look at the success of Xavi, Arteta, and Pep all play a similar style. Who cares about Spain, we are not hiring him to be an international manager.

Pochetino was lackluster outside of his spuds stint, which he didn't win anything. I am not convinced he won't have the same issue as Potter, not being able to handle the consistency needed to win at Chelsea. Failed to win the league with PSG his first season.

But Sarri did much more than "shitty" tiki-taka?
He won EL and got our wooden legs players to actually play good football at times.

Personally, I would have liked to see him stay and get the same backing that Potter got..
Too bad he really wanted to go home to Italy again.

That's why I rate Enrique so highly. They fall into the same "coaching category".
