I introduced a young woman to the joys of port and stilton on Christmas day. I think she's going to love me for the rest of her life. Port with stilton is what evolution had in mind when it built opposable thumbs. They are for holding glasses of port boys and girls.

Not using this as an excuse for Potter (since he wasn't in charge right after preseason), I'll admit that in general, looking at the past decade or so, we've gone on to have relatively poor seasons after really bad preseasons. At least going far back as Ancelloti and Mourinho mk2

In Ancellotis 2nd season we had a poor season, although we did recover really well late on to finish 2nd., so the standards for a 'bad season' were different then.

My my my, such sensationalist and opportunistic headlines it’s actually boring and ridiculous. Not endorsing them at all, categorically not, though you can go on Twitter or any social platform after a team plays badly or it’s an individual player mistake and you can find vile individuals posting such comments from every single club, there is no requirement to highlight this from those people who claim to be our fans. I can make up an account now and go post something vile to Brendan as Lei are 1-0 down, irrespective you could find them anyway from Lei ‘fans’, utterly ridiculous.

I haven’t seen the comments from Jorgi but ultimately until Arsenal win the premier league, keep it shut, same as the fact a lot of pundits seem to forget the fact it isn’t Arterta’s first season, either.

I will defend Potter and the club where needed, to say having a vision and not knowing how to realise it, I had a good read on the Dodgers a few nights ago, not that we should accept sinking to Arsenal’s level, I don’t care what anyone says (with my blue glasses on), our club IS different, insane amount of jealousy toward us and I look forward to Todd’s vision coming to fruition.

I’d love Simon over at a talk sport to elaborate on the things he apparently knows about Tuchel as well.

Hopefully though said this every game and so far it hasn't materalised we can really work on attack and get our difference from 0 to maybe double figures..that be nice seeing as think highest we've gone is 5 or something and just gone back to 0 again. Or score more then 1 goal..or win that to be fantastic.

These comments are harsh, I think you will find been a mid table manager is a harder job than been a top 4 manager, course he deserves to be here, he's worked his way up the system and landed a top job, fair play to the man. Just because you see a new squad of talented players doesn't mean they should play beautiful football from the off. Your problem is and yes this is your problem, judging by your comments your young, more than likely you have supported Chelsea during the Roman era and it's the only way you know, this has never happened to you before, a manager not sacked after 5 bad game's, "what the fuck is happening" you calling out the owners saying they are useless etc. NO they are not, this is how they have decided to run THEIR football club, and let's be honest that scares the shit out of you.

If you overachieve at a lesser side it's "show us your medals" and if you then can show said medals it's "look at the teams you had even I could have done that".
