One of the biggest issues within this squad is a lack of fighting spirit & character. The moment things are going against us, we are essentially out of it, and Tuchel certainly isn't someone that can change that from the sidelines.

Shocking performance. Another abysmal display both offensively and defensively. Those changes Tuchel did had no inspiration at all. Broja should have come on earlier imo but we got dominated in both halves. Worrying. I barely recall us going behind in the league and Tuchel turning it around. There is so many games we go behind to end up losing and looking clueless. Another Leeds performance. Credit where credit is due. Southampton were good. Adams bullied us all evening. Lavia, that kid they got from City is a talent and the Bella-Kotchap guy at the back is a top defender. He impressed me against United too. Only 20. Will be a star. He bossed our attack, whole game.

And Tuchel thinks we dont need a CM... Jorgi should really be a bit part player, his game really does depend on who our opponents are... but also ironically he is the one that is less likely injured.

some are fair wheather players who are only good when they get space and the game suits them like Ziyech, puli, Kai and this was expected.

You need to sprint while having some decent amount of speed to actually put strains on your muscles for an injury.

Also, you need to put in a tackle and get some contact to get an injury. Jorgi plays the role of a traffic cone to perfection. Look at the soton 2nd goal, he was literally by passed as if he did not exist. No tackle, no contact. 

One of the worst players i have seen.

We lost cohesion with ending of prime Fabregas. Hazard did partly fill in, but we lack any playmaking, vision and creativity since then. Until we will find a new creator and leader, who is unfortunately not Jorghi, we are doomed and no 100 mil transfer of 15yo defender will change that.

 

We are just repeating, in a worse of better manner, some play schemes, but without lively playmaking we will suffer forever

Its not only about leaders and fighting spirit.. We really really lack intensity and pace in our transitions and in our build ups. This is impossible for us (who doesnt attent trainings) to figure out and understand why..

It can be that the players have been trained wrongly during pre season or that the tactical instructions and ideas are to complicated to execute or it can be so simple as that we have too many players in the team that doesnt wanna be here.

I can't see anyone I'd say did good today, yet I'd add that a) Azpi was spent 1,5 years ago and making increasing number of costly mistakes. Legend, but deffo shouldn't be a sure starter of every single freaking game, so that's more on club not finding replacement. It's like we were starting Cahill every game till today. b) Mendy was by some weird accident god mode for a long time, but imo he is overperforming anyway - he had never been a top keeper or top talent, he's just solid guy, who had been put in shoes way too big for him and that's also on the club for not sorting it out. It was like Cech's "Yeah, actually I knew some guy, let's get him", than top club buying top keeper who fits it. Let's not forget club even registered freaking 40yo Cech at the time. I guess Abramovitch himself was next in line to stand between the posts.
