Twitter saying potentially out for 6 months, take with a pinch of salt.

Seems like whoever we try to play in the #10 role gets injured....

Time for Poch to roll out the newly invented triple DM formation:  Lavia - Ugo - Caicedo.

Forget about scoring goals, just play 7 man at the back and give a hard tackle to every player that tries to run into our half

In 35 days Fofana, Chalobah, Nkunku, James and Carney had serious injuries. One per week!

Badiashile and Bettinelli still out. Broja coming back from long injury and Madueke just came back.

That’s probable the long term average now. One serious injury per game over the duration of the season so we need at least  2 players per position plus a couple of Allrounders. At least we only have one game per week.

Fofana is extremely injury-prone. Nkunku may be injury-prone based on his past history... let's see. James is definitely injury-prone. 😓

Regarding Carney, my understanding is, as a general rule, that under 23yo often lack muscle mass, which could make them more susceptible to joint injuries; that's because muscle mass can protect joints against contact as well as turns/movements.

That's one of the reasons clubs, esp PL clubs, usually get players to bulk up before employing them a whole lot. PL is also the most physical league in the world.

👆evidently not an expert, so please correct me if you have a different understanding.

fml, this club is cursed with injuries, no doubt about it. Hospital F.C.

Get well soon Carney 😞

It really is becoming like Arsene Wenger's & Stan Kroenke's Arsenal

First team players constantly getting injured, not really competing for trophies. No grit in the squad, mostly filled with youngsters with potential, and endless outgoings.

Miracle recovery sees missing Chelsea player back training outside already

Carney Chukwuemeka was carried off the pitch on August 20th after picking up a knee injury in the game against West Ham.

He was operated on a couple of days later.

Now, just under a month later, he’s already back out on training on grass, according to Nizaar Kinsella of the Evening Standard.

That is quite amazing to us – even if the surgery was the most minor intervention possible, it’s still crazy to think he’s out on the grass already when some players need months to even start work in the gym again after surgery.

It’s good news for injury stricken Chelsea, who need all of their players available as soon as possible. He’s working with Reece James, who is expected back even sooner.

The pair, along with fellow absentees Armando Broja and, Noni Madueke, Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella and Benoit Badiashile, could all be back fairly soon, giving fresh life to an increasingly dire season.
