CR7 for 15m quid ... to bang goals in for one season...

It's a no brainer.

Just go watch his highlight reel for last season, playing in a terrible Man United side.

The geezer is special.

He would automatically be the best finisher we have had since Jimmy Floyd.

the problem is you can not just put Ronaldo on the bench for games he is not suited to. he will moan, sulk, throw a fit, try to attract all the headlines and derail the team spirit. Because he is an sick egomaniac. Always was. this is a team sport, no one should be put on a pedestal this much. Teams put up with it bc he delivered goals. But now, he is not good enough anymore. We would just become a worse team trying to play to his waning strengths. as a consequence we would just regress as a team, depend on his goals and be left hungover when he leaves in a few months.

Exactly Ronaldo will be Lukaku 2.0, another diva who won't suit our system.

Chelsea have formally submitted a £15m offer to Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo.

It’s believed Ronaldo would be very open to the move to Stamford Bridge  and would like to stay in the Premier League. (Fabrizio Romano)

I cannot find this quote on any search on google, twitter, or instagram?

This is why I don't want him. Not because of his ability but it all becomes about him. He will take every free kick because it is Ronaldo even though his conversion rate from free kicks is poor. Headlines will be thrown every time he is taken off or on the bench. Just would rather do without.

What held Lukaku back though, primarily, was his ability (or lack of) on the ball.

Ronaldo may not press but we can't deny his ability on the ball.

Bruno took the FKs and Penalties.

If Lukaku took the chances that were given to him, he'd still be here. There's a big reason why he failed so badly, aside from his lack of fitness.

Out of curiosity, are you against the idea of signing Neymar as well?

Again Lukaku's problem was his refusal to adapt, his ego is too big same like Ronaldo.

No he never. Bruno took indirect FK. Ronaldo took the penalties. Bruno took two penalties when Ronaldo was there (which Ronaldo gave him permission to), other than that Ronaldo took them. Ronaldo always took the FK. Again if Fernandes took it, this was due to Ronaldo passing over the duties to him.

Yes, I am. Few posts earlier I literally said I would rather we keep away from both.

As I posted a few days ago, Ronaldo can back up his ego. The two aren't comparable to me.

He can back up with goal, but he won't offer fluidity and pressing. It would be only a matter of time when both him and Tuchel fall out.

Penaldo did whenever he played.

I was of the same mindset until recently. If we are planning to let Broja go, then moving for Ronaldo seems like a no-brainer for 12 months.

This will most likely be for one season only, so I find it hard to imagine there will be a meltdown within that time. Fluidity over substance can't continue.
