Do you agree that RCB is best role for Azpi over RB or LB or RWB or DM? Walker also. So you think Azpi height 178cm is not a problem but Kounde height 178cm is a problem? And I wonder will he bench Azpi from day one? In a back 3 maybe. but even then we have to compensate and have him play more advanced of the other cbs making us lopsided. But you don't sign a cb only for one formation. Surely at some point, we will switch to back 4 under tt oder another manager and you also don't play Azpi as cb in a back 4. Honestly I never liked Azpi as cb even in a back 3. I further don't think that Kounde is remotely as tough as Azpi. Also, again, there are jsut so many quality, tall cbs available who cost half of what Kounde does. Maybe it is bc he scores a flashy goal every blue moon but he is so so overrated. Why do we pick the one tiny, overhyped cb? itdoes not make sense. Just sign Lacroix for 25-30m and be done with it. So many quality CBs like Konate, Varane already moved and we stood by so i thought maybe we just dont sign one this summer but no we go in for the one i explicitly never wanted. Just feels shit. He is ball playing CB, albeit short one. Question remains how good he will preform in PL. Means something if Pep wanted him. What worries me is that pursuing this fella means we will continue with back five. Our attacking talents need to improve massively, like: Havertz from 4 to around 20 Timo from 6 to around 18 Mount from 4 - around 15 Pulisic from 4 to around 12 Ziyech from 2 to around 10 and we will be fine. To secure top four. Striker. Even if we get one, I will believe when he starts scoring goals. Pep has singed like a dozen cbs all but 2 flopped. If Pep likes a CB it should make you wary not greedy. Coughing up 60m for a CB and then not playing him is what Pep likes for breakfast. Vesper
NikkiCFC 8,369
Pep wanted Jorginho before Rodri. Also Kounde before Dias.

He bought 4. 3 of which won the league as regulars and were TOTS. The other is Ake who still has a whole career ahead of him. Pizy 18,985
You know a player is highly rated when rival fans of ours are saying “that’s a great signing, tbf.” 😂 Usually everyone calls a rival signing shit no matter who they are.

Jase 43,479
According to Romano, Kounde turned down Spurs or didn't want to go to Spurs because they don't have Champions League football. Hence why Spurs turned their attention to Romero.

He won the title playing 3 of them at CB and Ake maybe a backup but hardly a flop when he's competing with the other 3 for a spot in the team. MoroccanBlue 5,385
There were warning signs with Bakayoko (his lack of technical ability) but in all seriousness, it feels like some dark magic is at play with him. Bloke doesn't even know how to control a ball anymore.
