Garnacho was always spoken about by these reporters as basically a “bonus” signing at the very end after we’ve already secured Xavi and whichever other priority signings. That’s why it almost didn’t seem as bad.

But if we’re now pushing ahead with him before Xavi it tells me that it’s Simons that was actually the one we’ll move for if the price is right but isn’t a priority.

Did say I had a sneaky feeling the Simons deal would fall through. We simply don’t want to pay that much for a player that wants to leave and 2 years remaining.

I still think we are going to get Simons, I think RB are busy, I think (and hope) that Simons will get done next few days into next week, all the top tier sources say as much

I've been tooting the horn for ages about needing a CB and with levi crocked we need him, I think everyone has too much confidence in our CB's its also a lot about who they will be facing this season, the fire power from the top 10 is looking immense

Someone in our scouting department is obsessed with Garnacho fine but why is he so fixated on only coming here?  Wouldn’t be guaranteed time with our existing attackers and the potential of Simons coming.  Are he and Enzo F close or something?
