Losing Son, Maddison injured... MGW transfer failed. I think Spurs need to hijack Garnacho.

I am surprised they haven't gone or him. Would not be surprised to see them try and Grealish now...

With the ego on this kid he probably thinks Spuds are beneath him.

Marc Guiu’s flight was postponed today, but that doesn’t mean the deal is dead. The agreement is still in place, and there is an expectation that the striker will finalize his move to Sunderland on loan for the season.

When it's for games the saving a few hours travel makes some sense.but for a transfer I wouldn't risk getting in the skies for. From someone that spends a yearly average of about 400 hours In the sky.i still wouldn't risk it for a domestic flight in England.

I don’t get the inflated fees from Saudi for surplus players. I understand why they have to offer high salaries, but why give Liverpool say 70 mil for Nunez. Nobody else will give them 50. Even if they have all the money in the world, what is the point of wasting them this way?

true

but the simple maths of '50 per cent less distance each day will still never yield reaching the goal of contact' will not change

In this case the 'distance' we're talking about is time. If we start with the sealing of the contract being 30 days away, and reduce that time by half every day then, if my calculus is up to it, we would run into the Planck time in something a few days over 5 months. At that point, in the human frame of reference, the incompleteness of the deal will be totally indistinguishable from its completion. In human experience the deal will be done.

In reality, even before we get to the Planck time, humans would experience the deal as having been completed. 🙂

Got a computer to check it and I didn't do too badly. It would take about five and a half months to reach the Planck time. In reality though the deal would be under a second away from completion, 3 weeks after we started. At that point I think we could dispense with the rest of the journey to the Plank time. 🙂🙂

Wonder where to. Haven’t really been any recent credible rumors. Just that Inter could be interested if Lookman fell through. But now Lookman has put in a transfer request and put pressure on Atalanta so I assume that gets done.

Wonder if he’d agree to return to Leipzig.

If I'm remembering correctly there was a post earlier in this thread claiming that Leipzig are not interested.

in quantum gravity (not field) theory, you can find even shorter increments of time than one unit of Planck time

we can go into a gravitational singularity inside a black hole to find this out for ourselves (and learn more about dark matter, dark energy, etc)

maybe, if certain positings of string theory are true, we will get compactified into a Calabi–Yau manifold

lol

come on!

it will be fun!

George is good, will be atleast good, probably more but Acheampong is the Cobham crown jewel that losing him would really piss me off

Agreed. Gusto obviously was really good against PSG but, as an all-round full back, and a Maresca fullback specifically, Josh is a better bet I'd say.

West Ham United

  • West Ham have agreed to sign Callum Wilson on a free transfer. The 33-year-old striker joins on a one-year deal after leaving Newcastle, with a salary based heavily on performance bonuses. Medical already completed.

I've got a feeling I'll be busy that day but I'm looking forward to receiving a postcard from you. 🙂

I only chose the Planck time because it is comfortably within the range of time that human beings simply could not experience. In that length of time we couldn't even fire up the neurons required to conceive the thought, "Are we there yet?"

I did see some stuff about the theory that we might be living inside a black hole but I decided not to look into it. 🙁

I wouldn't mind shooting Trump and every MAGA into one to 'explore' it

Send Nigel Farage along as well

he can hold Trumpy's tiny hand when Melania gets compactified
