How and why would UEFA be able to tell any club what they think a player is worth? Surely zero chance something like that could hold up legally.

If it ain't City, PSG, or the Spanish favourites, they would try their hardest to find a way.

Chelsea

  • Chelsea have made contact with Eberechi Eze’s camp as they signal they’re ready to hijack Arsenal’s deal for the Crystal Palace attacking midfielder, provided the conditions are right. (Mark Brus, CaughtOffside)

  • Chelsea to be offered Xavi Simons? Reports in Germany claim the RB Leipzig attacking midfielder is now available for just €50m, with the player’s agent expected to contact the Blues. (Bild)

  • Chelsea and Arsenal are also both attentive to Xavi Simons’ situation this summer. There haven’t been any bids or talks yet, but Simons is ready to leave Leipzig and there’s Premier League interest. (Fabrizio Romano)

  • More on Xavi Simons: Leipzig paid €50m+€30m for him, but not all the add-ons have been triggered since he left PSG. €65m plus add-ons is now understood to be a realistic ballpark for the player this summer. (Ben Jacobs)

  • Chelsea are alongside Tottenham in eyeing up a potential transfer move for Bayern Munich central defender Kim Min-jae, though there have been no contacts yet. (Christian Falk)

  • Alfie Gilchrist looks set to leave Chelsea this summer, with the 21-year-old defender attracting interest from clubs in the Championship and in the Saudi Pro League. (Ben Jacobs)

  • Thiago Silva’s son Isago has signed as a first-year scholar with Chelsea’s academy ahead of the 2025/26 season. (Fabrizio Romano)

  • Noni Madueke’s parting message to Chelsea fans: “Thank you to every single Chelsea fan. Thank you for the love, the praise and also the criticism, I appreciate it all. I leave here with nothing but fond memories.” (Instagram)

You guys think we should sell Renato Veiga or bring him back and use him? With the big clubs he’s linked with clearly he’s very highly rated. Has the potential to play a ton of minutes for us as cover for both Cucu and Levi.

We will certainly at least double our money if we sell him judging by the reports but if he goes to a Bayern or Atleti and they develop him more he could turn into a £70m+ player who we’d massively regret letting go.

He isn't with us and won't come back only because of Maresca.

If we get Hato we won't regret it.

Everyone thought Frankfurt were hilarious for demanding €100m for Ekitike when we were linked a month ago. And they were right. That’s an insane asking price for a dude who had 1 good but not even GREAT season. I’m glad we stayed away.

But now Liverpool are actually going to almost pay that. Ekitike for €95m! Absolutely outrageous fee for someone who is so far from being the finished product.

Liverpool are just spending for fun. As much as some might be envious of them, that's how you stay on top rather than resting our your laurels.

Still gives me flashbacks of our last league title under Conte, where he demanded real investment and got nothing.

Wonder how Klopp feels watching Liverpool finally spending like this after years and years of him being given a shoestring budget whilst trying to go toe to toe with free spending Pep and City for all those titles. He could’ve won 2-3 more PL titles if he had this sort of backing.

Hard to see how they don’t repeat as champions this season unless this is just too much change too fast. Crazy to win the league at a canter and then change half the starting XI like this.

Don’t think this is what Conte had in mind

Depends on who you buy.

I'm not as enamoured as some on here by Wirtz. And outside of that they have a squad that is growing older as far as their mainstay players.
