@Matt_Law_DT: "If you're buying Nico Williams, you're paying €60m down straight away, and that's a massive commitment.

And then his wages basically equate to about £300,000 a week. So again, you've got to get super creative on the wages to get him in line with Chelsea."

Surely signing Gittens and Sancho is costing as much

our board has a hard-on on young english players who have a potential to be a world class player.

andre santos is maybe the only player so far who multiplied his value out of all of the young prospescts we bought. board will always look at him and try to achieve the same thing with every new player.

Hope we don't get ektike .... He looks bang average west ham/brighton level.

I rate delap well above ektike.

He's the next rooney or cole palmer performance wise.

Serious striker and another from the unappreciated city youth squad.

He's another Haller without the impressive goalscoring record in Germany.

If they get a proper striker like Gyokeres then they’ll have a genuinely great attack. For a club that finished 15th and were a total embarrassment. Biggest thing they’re still missing though is a decent central midfield. They need a total rebuild in there.

Unfortunately, it appears like United SHOULD take a big step forward next season instead of continuing to be a laughingstock like I had hoped. Having no European football and 1 game per week to focus on most of the season should massively help them fright for 4th.

Mate, until the replace Onana who makes Sanchez look like prime Yashin and their slow as fuck CB's along with the vastly overrated Drogu and Yoro they will still be too easy to get at. Utd's biggest problem is in their defensive areas - especially in a 343 formation - means buying some nice attacking players just turns losses into draws which puts them midtable even with one game a week.

Mbuemo to United, then. That’ll be an annoyingly good signing.

I bet if Chelsea signed Mbuenbo, our fans wouldn’t be too happy about it — and United fans would be like, “Told you so.”

Let’s be honest: he’s only had one great season, and even then, 5 of his 20 goals were penalties.

Playing for a big club is a different kind of pressure, and he might not handle it well.

Does anyone start to feel like there is something going on  with Gyökeres? Like a red flag which top club scouts noticed. It doesn't feel like top PL-clubs are very much after him, everyone chasing other targets. Or other European clubs. Isn't he a wanted man?

A combination of wages and red flags over his pervious performances in the PL.

Didn't he just sit on the bench one time? I recall he never played in the PL.

He has 60M release cause though, we seem to go for 80-100M Ekitike, wages should cover the difference. Arsenal going for Sesko, Liverpool for Wirtz, United got Cunha, bit weird to me. I expected many club would match 60M and he'd quickly find a new team.
