Breaking News Chelsea are #reportedly WILLING to trigger the release clause of Franco Mastantuono's €45M.

#BlueCo have already made this known to his agent, Tamer, but River Plates intends to extend his contract and raise his RC to around €55M

Don't particularly want another kid but at least this one actually looks the part. Tbf Estevao does as well. Him and Santos in the squad would make the DM/CM area a lot more solid and dynamic and we wouldn't be reliant on Lavia (who is also very good) having to be fit to not get run through.

I honestly don't think we have any choice but to keep buying these high potential kids.

Tiny stadium, poor (or often none) sponsorship deals, no CL football in years - we're only surviving from a PSR perspective through loopholes (some of which don't work in CL fair play rules, and all of which when played once cannot be played again) - we need to keep buying & selling TONNES of players as it is our only hope of generating enough income to cover how badly run everything else is. And the other problems will take a decade to fix probably. When you look back at it we have been a really badly run club for 10 years+ now, let so many other teams catchup and overtake us through essentially negligence and repeated short term-ism.

Think we are the only club that would offer to have him stay at River for another season on loan.

PSG are supposedly willing to do the same. A potential CL victory could really swing deals their way (for footballing reasons for a change) this summer.

EXCL - Luis Campos' future about to take a decisive turn! In the absence of an agreement for his extension with #PSG, the Portuguese sports consultant is in advanced negotiations with a “big” European club, the identity of which will soon be revealed... 🔜
More details in the coming days.

If the Liverpool game showed anything, we still need a dominant quality CB for next season.

Van Dijk was winning headers in our box with little challenge today.

Colwill and Chalobah played good, but there are levels to this.

Tbf, within the known media, at CB, we are looking to sell Trev (anyone that goes £30m+ - possible), Disaster (Villa), Fonana (loan) and Badi. If all of those actually go it means an overhaul at CB is coming. Equally, Law was saying we were the team that was most likely to pick up VDV if he left the Dippers.

All we have got to hope is that BlueCo have realised CB requires fitness (ruling out Fofana) and experience ( the rest- bar Colwill.) My hope is that we can flush Badi to Strasborg ( he is OK when not pressured so a good season at Strasborg raises his value), Fonana to Marsailles (he is a crock), Disaster to Villa and go again.

For me, Colwill shows signs of a top CB - even if he is currently raw. if we can get that Huijsen plus another experienced CB (30+) we would be much better next season - so long as we do not have "big Rob" in goal. Trev is really the only loss as I do think as a HG he is worth more than £30m and is underrated as a squad player. However, if he needs to go to make it work for a Huijsen and a top quality 30+ CB, I can accept...

Crazy that the strongest rumors are Mastantuono and Huijsen. They're good but there's lot of work needed for the squad to compete

The squad needs a top quality GK, plus an experienced an CB to compete - so long as Lavia can stay fit. Seriously, anyone see today and how we controlled midfield with Lavia on and didn't want themselves silly with Caicedo's penalty win - but forgetting VDV's header to get them back in the game?

City are going for Morgan Gibbs-White

I would be surprised at this. He is a good player but has played in counter attacking teams. He has improved his output this season but generally does not score enough goals and for the fee Forest would want, I would be surprised if City pursued him. Yes for the HG thing would make sense, but everything else you would think they would pursue better players imo.

I feel like this will turn out to be another Grealish/Phillips signing. It would be a stupid move for him in footballing terms.

Agree completely. He looks like your stereotypical “big fish in a small pond” English player who looks very good at a smaller profile club where everything revolves around him but will then disappear at a club where expectations are sky high and you’re just another cog in the machine.

I’d be delighted as a rival team if City go for him instead of Wirtz for example who I thought for sure Pep would go after.
