Special Juan 28,141
Matt Law saying we are not put off by Tel favouring other options or concern for playing time, this had not been directly communicated to Chelsea yesterday

I expect proven player like world class GK , CB or ST who will contribute not another kid with ''potential'' from Brazil , Nicaragua . We are not Brighton and Hove if s anyone forgot. If Clownlake want to turn us into them, it won't work. Edited January 30 by milka

We are not Brighton and Hove if s anyone forgot. If Clownlake want to turn us into them, it won't work. You say this but I am not sure. I think the idea is Dortmund, but they have forgotten Dortmund play in a lower level league with 18 teams in it, but have 4-5 CL places each year. Prime example of their transfer strategy just needs to be seen here: Summer 2023 - Sanchez - dropped to 3rd choice BHA GK the season prior is brought for £25m and installed as GK1. Petro - Brought as GK2. Season 2023/24 - Sanchez starts and is incredibly poor. Petro replaces him when he gets injured and our form improves quite significantly. Summer 2024 - Sanchez gets ordained GK1 for reasons unknown. Petro gets loaned to Strasborg to replace Sels who goes to Forest. We buy two project GK's in Jorgensen and Penders. Season 2024/25 - midway point - Sanchez is the worst GK in the PL. Petro is the best in Ligue 1. Sels is up there as the best GK in the PL. Jorgensen isn't trusted still. Penders is still highly raw. This is also before we get to Kepa and Slonia. Edited January 30 by King Kante
Special Juan 28,141
The time to stop buying talent needs to slow down and we now need some real top quality players but with an added spice of experience that will go into this squad. If some of these young lads we have are still here in 3-4 years and go on to be absolute top class then great but for that journey they need not only coaching right but have the arm of experience around the and most importantly has to be on the field more so than on it. I actually think the hierarchy at the club have not given a second thought about what is needed on the field such as leadership, I think they have totally dismissed it as a whole in hope the team and squad will grow quickly. Experience is massively essential, look at past years, Terry, Carvalho, Cole, Makalele, Cech just to name a few he were around the team and squad but around people like Joe Cole, Diarra, Wright Phillips, Scotty Sinclair....and so on and so on. Whilst the players I mentioned may not have gone on to immense quality, what they had learned and experienced in both playing and being round these players will have been priceless. We have to get back to looking at top players, and I mean players who really bring something to the party and most of all add experience to this young and very very inexperienced side and will continue to be that if we do not add this much needed experience, quality and difference makers. Pizy 18,926
The way a huge number of clubs are apparently queueing up trying to snatch Tel you’d think he’s Florian Wirtz and is the most promising AM Prost left out there. I just don’t see it. He doesn’t look special at all to me on YT where anyone can be made to look awesome. He looks like yet another raw attacker who doesn’t have a natural position. I feel like if he came here he’d be in the exact situation that Nkunku & Felix are currently in. He’d come on for a few minutes here and there, fail to impress in that limited time, and then rot on the bench.

Marvin123 534
🚨 Aston Villa are interested in Mathys Tel after Jhon Durán's departure to Al Nassr. Bayern would want between €50M-€60M to sell the striker, who is courting interest from Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United. 🗞️ @FabriceHawkins

Special Juan 28,141
Tel isn't the answer, and I have no idea what we are seeing in him and why we are going for him. Imagine though, he chooses Spurs over us......

LAM09 7,056
If PSG have just got €55m potentially rising to €81m~ for Simons with a sell-on, we know whoever we get is going to be well over priced. Tel for €60m~ isn't good business despite his age. Edited January 30 by LAM09

mkh 596
According to Simon Phillips and his sources, Spurs are currently winning the battle for Mathys Tel!!! That means he will remain a perennial loser🫡

Special Juan 28,141
We must get away from being desperate and getting the wrong players and buying or loaning for the sake of it, to actually getting the right playe for the right position. It's not looking good unless they are plotting someone we haven't been linked with. The whole Garnacho thing has gone very quiet, which is good
