Nkunku's body language is that he wants to leave, but the noise coming out of his camp is that they are not sure he will get a move this window. Chelsea are asking for £65m-£75m, which is huge.

Kind of crazy how silent it is with just 2 days left in the window. What we do or don’t do this week can really decide our season.

If we don’t bring in a goal scorer then it will be made 100% clear to us that the board/sporting directors aren’t bothered about reaching the UCL places this season.

The transfer market is still open until February 3 until midnight European time.

Hilarious how so many want Duran now, yet all of 4 months ago he was unproven lol...

Yeah it's called desperance, has a great strike and scores some screamers, but many matches were he played like shit, he wouldn't improve us much if at all compared to Jackson. And the fact he is thinking about going to Saudi at his age says enough about his apirations.

I find amusing how you keep taking digs at people who didn't want him in the summer instead of pointing to the board who changed their mind and went with Kellyman instead.

Point is, someone else would integrate Nkunku and Felix way better and maybe insist on experienced players like Chilwell and Kepa. Watch out when Felix starts balling for Emery in Birmingham.

Sure I got your point, but disagree. Sometimes a dud is a dud.

It's a very odd position for me now because I was one of the few here criticizing Maresca's signing when it happened.

You forgot to add the young perma-wrecked CB and our captain/best fullback playing 10 games a season.  🤔

Well yeah. That's a WC player when fit right there. Even lacking match fitness he imposes respect.
Had James been remotely fit, and Gusto's inconsistency wouldn't be a an issue.

Mount was the definition of dud.

And?

And Tuchel actually found a role for him, that's was great managers do. There are a handful of reasons already for why no one should trust Maresca in judging players, the fact you calling Felix a dud when he wasn't even given a run of games is crazy.

It was said Veiga left to play CB yet in his latest interview said he would play wherever the manager wants him to, means he couldn't wait to get rid of Maresca. Nkunku and Felix as well can't wait to see out the season with us, already want to go.

Did I saw Maresca was a great manager? My point was that Marcesca was exactly the same at the time he was hired: a project just like the squad.

Felix is 25 and no manager has ever found a way for him to deliver at this level. He was the cheapest buy we got last window.

Never seen a player as disinterested as Nkunku against City. People can claim lack of motivation, but for me that's unacceptable and shows a lack of professionalism.

🔴EXCL: Arsenal have approached Aston Villa to sign Ollie Watkins. Fee in the region of £60m. No agreement or decision yet but talks with #AVFC & player representatives advancing as AFC try to land striker before deadline day 🕰️

Aston Villa want to get Joao Felix in before they consider selling Ollie Watkins. Watkins wants the move.

No but you are defending the manager by saying Felix is a dud and basing it of his former clubs, I have no issue with people not rating Felix and calling him poor but least give him a real chance before that so we can all see it, right now if he leaves and he balls at his next club, it will be another what if because the manager couldn't even bother doing some tweaks and integrate him.

Nkunku went worse as the season passed, yeah it's most likely motivation. You can call it lack of professionalism but when you know you have no future here, why even bother anymore. Maresca has made sure to seclude some players and not make them feel part of the team. Wouldn't surprise me if Jorgensen doesn't bother either, looking in disgust how he isn't even given a chance while Sanchez throws shit on the wall each match.

Look at Rudiger when his contract was ending, kept giving it his all, why? Because Tuchel made sure to make him feel part of the squad and important.

Felix doesn’t fit a system he’s asked to play in, it’s that simple… any player can leave any club and ball it happens all the time, I base Felix on his performances so far in the league and the b tec European cup, against weaker opponents he hasn’t stood out, I know you like him but saying he hasn’t had chances is wild, he’s had enough

🔴️ Aston Villa have rejected today an official bid from Arsenal for Ollie Watkins.

Proposal around £60m turned down as Villa are not happy with timing of the bid, ahead of crucial UCL game for the club.

👀🇸🇦 Villa are also in active talks with Al Nassr for Jhon Durán.

Smart move. Watkins is the better striker at Villa who has handled the burden of being the striker in a large sample of games starting week in week out

The board waiting around on 19-22 year olds as usual - It would be crazy if Villa sell a premium striker and we are not in the conversation

And you are not going to change my mind on Felix. I don't rate him at all and think his career speaks volumes.

What you are doing here I've seen 100 times before: when a team is underperforming, it's because the player sitting on the bench is under/not used. Because fans magically know what is best for the team. Both manager and goalkeeping coach, not to mention the rest of the staff who work with these players every day know nothing, because "we the fans" know that Jorgensen would've been FAR better at the job. Hint: we do not know that.

Marcesca is no Tuchel, but I'm still trying to find where someone said he was.

You don't even know what you talking about honestly, he was one of the best players against Noah and Panathinaikos, played decent against Gent, and the other 2 didn't even start. He started 3 matches in the PL and was more than decent against Leicester and Southampton, poor against Ipswich, where's this chance he got? He couldn't even build some rhythm like Noni was allowed to see if he picks it up. The fact some of you saying he got a fair chance is pure bollocks.
