𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 | Al Nassr are pushing with significant resources to sign Jhon Duran! 💰

According to English sources, Aston Villa are about to accept an offer of €70m+ from the Saudi club, reports @lequipe.

Well that may mean Felix to Villa. Ideally it would also mean Disaster there as well.

As for CF's. I get the feeling that we want Delap. He fits the profile of what we are looking for, came through City's academy and will almost certainly be achievable in the Summer when Ipswich are relgated.

As for this window, I just want a DM/CM like Luiz. Our biggest problem is our midfield not controlling games. After that, I would say it is CB. Sanchez is the next issue, but that is resolvable by putting in Jorgensen (although how good he is, is another question.)

As for outgoings, I do not care about any of the following leaving:

Nkunku

Disaster (actually really care about getting rid)

KDH

Carney (loan)

Casedei (sold with sell on makes sense)

Jhon Duran £58m off set by Joao Felix the other way for ~35m (a small loss on him) is the deal I want to see before the end of the window.

All other names the club is linked with won't affect our top 4 chances

Just now, Special Juan said:

And the fact it is being reported it is looking like Chilwell is now staying

Just wow

Nobody wants to come near his wages. We are stuck with him - might as well integrate into the squad as backup LB

First of all, as much as I consider, and have said so before, Maresca as a newcomer at this level, Lampard really never did anything in coaching o deserve to be our manager.

Now, Jorginho and Giroud were pretty much the same players everybody knew with very glaring strengths and weaknesses. Rudiger was always an interesting player, but had a pretty rough time with injuries. We only got to see his abnormally high pace for a CB, once he stayed injury-free for a while.

This place is so weird... The club hires the championship "Arteta". Many here, myself included, show disappointment with the lack of ambition and suggest he will be a yes-man to help with a very long-term project. Now we are finally discovering all that again?! has anything changed? What did people expect? He's a project just like the squad we have.
Many of us warned about young players and lack of consistency... see Gusto's form? Is he a bad player all of the sudden?

Finally, do you see a Rudiger in the squad? a Jorginho, or a Giroud? because all I see is limited CBs (with a single one IMO with WC *potential*), a very young perma-wrecked DM, and an even younger striker who will NOT play whoever the manager may be.

Point is, someone else would integrate Nkunku and Felix way better and maybe insist on experienced players like Chilwell and Kepa. Watch out when Felix starts balling for Emery in Birmingham.

This is why you respect fucking Tuchel despite some delusional trolls here laughing at him, man sucked in the market but was an absolute genius working with what he had at his disposal and utilizing the maximum of the skills they possessed.

Maresca couldn't even bother dropping an half fit Palmer or try to play him as a RW and put Felix or Nkunku in the middle to see how it goes for a couple matches, he didn't even bother integrating them.

The man instead bought his useless player from the Championship wasted 35m in the process and 2 months later, wanted him out. Judged Disasi as better than Chalobah, judged out of position Gusto as better than  Chilwell and Veiga, keeps using his fraud Sanchez match after match, was using Disasi as a RB above Gusto can you imagine the idiocy.

I see zero reasons for anyone here to believe him when it comes to selecting players and making the most out of them.

Kind of crazy how silent it is with just 2 days left in the window. What we do or don’t do this week can really decide our season.

If we don’t bring in a goal scorer then it will be made 100% clear to us that the board/sporting directors aren’t bothered about reaching the UCL places this season.
