And as for Duran who people keep bringing up, I know he was scoring some bangers to start the season but hasn’t he been super quiet in recent times? Is he actually what we need at all? Nkunku is a different issue though: it's really hard to get a player motivated again after a display like the one against City; his mind is elsewhere. The injuries may have something to do with it, but now it's mentality. Blame does not matter anymore because we need to think about what is best for the team, and it is plain to see that he's not interested in putting an effort in. Veiga was our only viable LB cover since Maresca doesn’t fancy Chilwell. Felix and Nkunku have been perfect rotation options in the other competitions. I'd just be surprised if they actually let Duran go after their supposed reluctance to do so. I feel you are doing Duran a bit of a disservice. He isn't an all-action striker that might be nipping at defenders feet all game, but he has a more rounded game compared to Delap and actually offers a presence, which is something I truly believe we miss dearly. There's no consequence that the last two CFs that led us to a league title were just that.
