Vincent Kompany wants Jamie Gittens and is campaigning for the player with Max Eberl and Christoph Freund. The Englishman is an absolute top transfer target for Bayern. [@SkySportDE]

🔵 Chelsea to hold new talks over Garnacho and other attackers…club will also assess midfield options before window closes.

Chelsea will hold more talks over attackers, including Gittens and Tel, over the coming days before deciding whether to submit a bid for any of them.

Matt Law : Chelsea looking at Garnacho, Tel, Gittens and assessing if they'll bid. Also looking at strikers for the summer - can accelerate if a deal is possible now. Delap and Sesko on the list, no Vlahovic.

Already see some of our fans getting excited about Matt Law saying we’re “assessing midfield options,” but any move we do make there will almost surely be Ugo returning from loan. We won’t want to fuck with Strasbourg’s season and piss their fans off even more than they already are with BlueCo by recalling Santos.

Don’t think anyone should get excited as if we’re going to go out there and buy some great new midfielder.

We need a striker to complete/rotate with Jackson and the new striker needs to be of a different type too.

On the other hand, our level of play including against weaker opposition at the SB suggests we need a lot more than that.

Like I stated before, I like Garnacho at the right price, but he's also very raw at 21yo. His ceiling is a hell lot higher than Mudryk's and he can press high with intensity, so a huge upgrade.

Does Garnacho get into the team ahead of Neto or Sancho or even Madueke rn? its not like we don't have options for the wing + we have Paez and Estevan coming in July.

Why's the board prioritizing Garnacho, Gittens or Tel over a striker or even a GK

Garnacho is worse in every measurable way, much less of an all round player than Madueke, much more selfish. THAN MADUEKE.

Very strange signing if we go after him, only makes any sense if its a mutual backscratch with them buying from the infamous Chelsea bomb squad.

But no where near as bad as Garnacho! If you dislike Madueke, you will despise Garnacho.

If we buy garnacho, Madueke is the one I think will go

If we sign him its to replace Mudryk in the conference league squad, occasional sub appearance in PL for final 10 minutes.

I am interested in almost any player at the right price, if we're talking £20m and he's coming in on only a small raise on £50k pw (supposedly his current salary) then why not. If we're talking money that isn't back of the sofa money then it would be mad to sign him.

I think the two you mention have a better market? Do you really expect them too to actually be here long? Screams profits

Hard to say assuming the reports aren't just agents making noise.

I'm not a fan of Madueke's game; think he's a player for a smaller team to be honest: too reliant on pace and power, which only gets you so far.

Disagree on whether Madueke is better. They are incredibly different players. Garnacho is that short high work-rate winger who will do a good job blocking that side even when he's not firing in all cylinders; Madueke isn't very useful unless he's scoring or assisting, which unfortunately does not happen often enough.

Agreed that it's not one of the glaring weaknesses esp with the younger SA players coming soon.
On the other hand, watching us play suggests whoever is there atm isn't cutting and we lost(?) Mudryk.

Perhaps it's just a player the club rates (he's young too) and the opportunity presented itself.

I cant understand what you ask.

Sancho and Net will not be in the market for obvious reasons. The only that left is madueke

4 wingers for 2 positions Is fine. Nobody will be for sale. It's a direct mudryk replacement only
