I would take Rashford after watching how Sancho transform his form after leaving Old Trafford .

Nah, hard pass on Rashford. He thinks he is a superstar and can do what he wants. Last season he went on a massive bender the night before a training and this season he flew to the States and rocked up at a NBA game flanked by two security guards despite people not knowing who he is there/much more high profile people going with none/less.

On top of that he had one good season in the last 4 and is paid £350k a week. Absolutely not. Although fortunately, I think the club would also recognise the issues with him.

Newcastle need money, we need to be looking at Isak

  • Newcastle's mammoth price tag for Alexander Isak has been revealed
  • The Swedish striker has been earmarked with a move to some European giants

Newcastle have set a staggering price tag on in-form Alexander Isak, in excess of £150million, according to a report.

The Magpies purchased the 25-year-old in 2022 from Real Sociedad for £63m - the club's most expensive arrival to this day.

Only three players have outscored Isak in the Premier League this season, who has netted 11 times in 16 games - Mohamed Salah (16), Erling Haaland (13) and Cole Palmer (12).

His impressive form has caught the eyes of some Premier League rivals and other European giants, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Despite the plethora of potential suitors, Newcastle have insisted that they are 'relaxed' about the situation, while Isak himself has expressed he is content on Tyneside, according to The Telegraph.

Upon Enzo Maresca's appointment in the summer, Chelsea enquired about the Swede's availability, which was met by the aforementioned £150m valuation.

Seeing rumors from Chelsea accounts on Twitter about Kolo Muani now…

I remember him looking super promising and someone I was keen on before he went to PSG. But from everything I’ve heard he has been a massive flop there.

Really hope we don’t make the mistake of brining in another striker who isn’t good enough. I much prefer the idea of Liam Delap.

I wonder if we are returning for Osimhen in Jan? Club chase him window after window and I guess he is the only top striker likely to be available for a Jan move.

It seems like Kolo from PSG on loan is doing the rounds. I really hope we stay clear.

City are linked with Marmoush. A very interesting option, tbh.

Haven't really followed him at PSG but he doesn't really seem like the type we need. Would hope that is just the typical scenario of an agent throwing our name out there to get attention on a player...

The club were looking at pretty traditional number 9s in summer (Samu, Duran, Osimhen, before that Sesko).

I have always been against us spending big on Osimhen (mainly against long contract on huge wages for someone that might flop in PL). Duran for a probably big fee from Villa is more interesting to me TBH (even after he just stamped on someone) but probably not a popular opinion!

I fear Kolo is exactly the type of player we'll sign as a "panic" buy just before the window shuts.

I believe any chance of signing Duran is long gone now unless you think spending £75m+ for him is smart business (I'd much rather go for Isak at that price if lack of PL experience puts you off Osimhen).

Assuming Duran would be much more amenable to a "Chelsea special" (very long term deal on cheap base wages with the rest based on performance) then yeah I would take him over Isak or Osimhen, given we have NJ already. But who knows what these players are really up for.

Aren't the days of exploiting loopholes long gone?

Whatever the case may be, some meaningful competition for NJ is required. I've had enough of his position going uncontested for one reason or another, and that's no reflection on his performances during his time here, despite the fact that my feelings being well known.
