Not seen many links yet but they will definitely happen given we did something similar with Sancho. But we need to avoid Rashford, like at all costs. The guy is a grade A fud.

I sadly could actually picture it. I hope we don’t even consider him, but would I be completely stunned if we did it? No.

Rashford is totally outside of our MO these days - old Chelsea yes, for sure, but never these days. He looks semi retired to me, just seeing out his playing years to maximise his income. Salary too high, age too high, and most importantly he'd be lucky to get a game in the Conference league for us.

The agent of Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku has offered the services of the 22-year-old Frenchman to Spanish giants Barcelona. (Sport - in Spanish), external

Probably bollocks, but still had to post it.

He is 27 years old.

Rashford is just not a very good footballer, and age has not improved things one bit.

Yeah noticed that. The original article did not mention age, but BBC always include players age in them, which I find very good practice; the intern got it wrong this time.

The few tacticos made clear re Nkunku — bias accounts were wrong, obviously, influencer accounts adding to unjust hype, regular fans making grand takes — among all that, were a handful of posts clearly surmising why Nkunku was The biggest definition of a System player on the planet, all amazing ability considered, not replicable unless replicating the system that absolutely was built around him over there.

Somehow a big wave of small parrots is always given the vote of confidence over the clearly informed Erm guys, actually — which 1000% of the time rings true. More of the same. Wonder who’s being hyped now uncritically

Maresca says Lavia is out for Fulham.

Lavia is Reece James & Wesley Fofana 2.0 🙂↕️😒

I still have hope for Lavia. But I can see why the club are looking at Essugo. He'd be a great buy.

As I said the other day, we should 100% be looking to bring Andrey Santos back next month. Lavia is out much too often.

We almost certainly won’t because it would likely completely derail our sister club’s season, but if we were cold and putting sentiment aside we’d do it.

Um, not sure on that. We already serious jeopardised this kids career and now you want to recall him from loan to be a bit part player for us for the rest of this season too... Are we trying to permanently burn bridges with this guy?

I can see the call making sense if Caicedo was injured too but feels a bit bizarre and frankly quite brutal to ruin this young man's season and further damage his career just to play in the Conference league with poss some PL minutes.

If we recall someone just to have cover then Ugo would be the obvious choice as he would probably play more for us than he has for Southampton as he could play in Conference league.

Can we say that about a player who scored 30 goals in a season just recently?

That was the kind of argument we had for being pro Raheem Sterling too - this would be just as huge a mistake if not bigger.

When you're washed you're washed. Happens to some of these England players pretty early it seems as they get fat pay cheques when they're super young on long term deals, and have often started playing a lot of football at a young age too. They just look totally out of love with the game, strolling around and focusing on their own stats over contributing to the team. Which in the end hurts their stats.

Don't get me wrong. I don't want Rashford, never rated him same with Sterling.

Santos would get plenty of minutes across every competition we’re still in. How many PL matches has Lavia missed now? With surely many more to come. Instead of having to invert Gusto into midfield or have Disasi playing at all I’d much rather see a proper midfielder there.

Ugo for me isn’t close to Chelsea quality.
