We've created the most chances in the league and have 1 less goal in being tied with most goals scored. All this with Enzo phased out.

Tchouameni is on £200kpw and for that reason I can't see this signing happening. I think Andrey Santos should replace Enzo if he continues this trajectory.

Way too soon. Early season and only now we see the manager's hand in the team. I bet he's not done either, so lots more adjustments coming.

Players go in and out of form throughout the season. Aside from Caicedo (always a 7 with a small variance for me) and Cole, most other players have great games and poor ones. There are injuries and all, so I don't mind having good players fighting for spots one bit.

Last season nobody was fighting for spots given the lack of depth.

If Enzo isn't the player, then Lavia will need to turn into a more creative force, or we will have to go to the market. Perhaps making Cole drop a bit deeper... the goal is to compete with City, and the bar is very high. Liverpool showed that we are not really there yet.

Palace and Forest showed that we are nowhere near the top sides yet.

One big win vs Wolves and a heart-attack performance vs Brighton aside, we haven't been that good this season.

If United hammer us, and then Arsenal hammer us (Havertz will be out to prove a point once again), we're back to square 1.

Enzo Maresca: "Romeo Lavia and Caicedo give us physicality, strength in the middle".

"When we play with Enzo, it has to be Enzo and one between Moi and Romeo".

"When Enzo moves we struggle in the middle with physicality. In this moment, Moi and Romeo give us this".

Maresca says it could be soon that we see both Palmer and Felix “play together in the pocket”

💬Nkunku and Enzo F. won't be able to do that for long.

I think they could go!!!🗯

Yes, we can see that we depend on Caicedo and someone else winning tackles in the middle. It's the current situation, no doubt.

Who does City depend on to win tackle in the middle? That's why they will win once again even without Rodri (who's not a Caicedo player either).

When Chelsea backed out of the Endrick deal I was like WTF? Going for Estevao is looking better.

He's 18 and plays in one of the most contested positions in football... not to mention fighting for spots with the likes of Mbappe, Vini, and Rodrygo. Don't think Estevao would be getting too many minutes in that situ either. Too soon to rule him out.

Weird move. He's already 19, and I'd rather have him playing in a more competitive league--VISA problems?

Chelsea close to agreeing Josh Acheampong deal

The Athletic reported last week (22 October) that Acheampong will not play for any of Chelsea’s first team or development sides until he agrees a new deal.

The 18-year-old, who has made two senior appearances for the club, is under contract at Stamford Bridge until June 2026.

According to The Times (22 October), Chelsea have been left “bewildered” by the situation as they believed a new deal had been agreed with the defender – who has been linked with Liverpool.

Chelsea close to agreeing Acheampong deal, says Wyness

Wyness claimed the Blues are closing in on a more “graduated” contract deal.

“I am hearing rumours that Chelsea are getting much closer to a deal.

“That would be the best solution for everybody.

“Acheampong is supposed to be a great talent, but perhaps his agent was stretching for too much money, too young.

Let's wait and see how this plays out.

Seemed like a good gamble : both Estevao and Baez
