Benoit must must must go. Beyond awful, concentration, passing, it's a madness, he's the priority to go for me, over Disasi and that's saying something.

The Turd Twinz

cost us almost £75m in just fees/add-ons

add in Fofana

that is basically £150m down the shitter for just 3 mediocre AF CBs

The Boehly way!!

☹️

sure, half of these are not forwards but still what a list.

you have to adjust for inflation

it is far less revelatory otherwise

for example (as I just did the maths a day or so ago)

Kepa at £75m in 2018 pounds sterling would be £96.3m in 2024 pounds sterling

Has to be a monstrous sell on clause or something, surely?

both those posts before yours were a bit misleading as they left out a lot

here is a breakdown;

Samu has signed a five-year contract with Porto and is heading to the other side of the Iberian Peninsula for an initial €15 million that covers 50 percent of the player’s rights.

https://www.intothecalderon.com/2024/8/24/24227161/samu-omorodion-atletico-madrid-porto-Chelsea-laliga-transfer

In addition — and this is probably the most important part of the transfer — Atlético will keep a massive 50 percent sell-on clause for Samu. So let’s say Samu explodes in Portugal (a distinct possibility), and Porto receive Premier League interest for him in the next 24 months. If Porto end up selling Samu for €60 million (my personal valuation of him earlier this summer) in a couple years, Atlético are getting half of that, for a total of over €45m profit, likely close to €50m with inflation-adjusted euros.

is murillo better than chalobah? Lol

yes, I would deffo say so

I had doubts a while back on him, but after David Hancko, Murillo is the 2nd best actually availble left-footed CB left on the board (as lefties Gonçalo Inácio (to Pool) and Piero Hincapié (to AM or Pool) are perhaps soon gone)

the best 2 CBs left on the board

Cristhian Mosquera (righty)

Dávid Hancko (lefty)

then then next best 4

Murillo (lefty)

Ousmane Diomande  (righty)

Castello Lukeba (lefty)

Mohamed Simakan  (righty)

any of those 6 are fine with me, especially the first two

all 6 are upgrades

True. Drogba & Essien were big money signings for their time. Especially the latter, I think.

Got our money's worth and more from their pair of them though.

Happy Lukaku is gone. I can remember how fuming I was about signing him. Closest to putting my foot through a screen I have ever got. Additionally, I noted at the time anyone who were either in support of the deal or even tried to reason it and had to remember to not take those people seriously when it comes to talent evaluation.

Equally I also hope to see Kepa going. Another player that some tried to make out was OK, despite being a funsized GK with t-rex arms. Literally had to change my avatar to provide a visual aide to some that he was awful. Literally the level of a 3rd choice Madrid GK.

🚨🚜 Armando Broja’s move to Ipswich Town from Chelsea could collapse as there are issues after formal steps in last 48h.

Unlikely to happen at this stage with all parties now exploring different solutions as @JacobSteinberg reports.

About time someone stuck the middle finger up to Barcelona the self entitled pricks, who think they get everyone they go for.

Dead club

What bugs them the most is that, along with everybody else, they know that Madrid are top of the food chain, not them.

Looks like we’re going to have to find a new destination for Broja. Move to Ipswich collapsed. Hopefully we can find a better permanent solution rather than a loan.

The only other links for Broja were Bundesliga sides and they are definitely not going to pay a high fee for him.

Also on SkySports, he may have failed his medical....

Latest from Sky Sports News' Dharmesh Sheth:

Sky Sports News understands the deal to take Chelsea forward Armando Broja to Ipswich is unlikely to happen at this stage.

There are reports it has broken down at the paperwork stage.

However, one source has told us his medical highlighted an issue.

As a result - as it stands - the deal has stalled.
