I know we all jest, somewhat, about never going to Spurs, but this will always rub me the wrong way, always remember Duff saying he could never join Spurs after being at Chelsea.

I suppose glass houses and stones with Poch in charge.

This story is getting some legs.

Prefer it when others are upfront as well, so I will follow suit, I haven't seen a ton of him beyond the usual YouTube shorts, comps and clips here and there, nothing strikes me that he'd be a success, asking for everyone else's thoughts? As I said, if you haven't watched 90 mins consistently, please don't reply with some dross that he'd do better than what we have etc etc, I would bloody hope so for 120m.

If that's true caicedo and Enzo are no where near 50m players, rice is outstanding in his position.

Rice is solid not outstanding , enzo is talented and has potential , caicedo is dogshit

Should we just send Brighton the 100M now?

Haha, £100m? Brighton will get £150m out of Todd if he has one good season.

He really seems to be great. Left back, but pretty much playmaker often coming in the central midfield during games, like Cancelo in his best years at City.

Yes , too much conditioning and not enough strength. Should be building hamstrings , hip flexors , quads etc not running constantly with no breaks in their schedule. They need to chill with constant games including needless internationals

right, but regardless of what the strategy is, it takes time. When you sign a 23+yo esp from a PL club, or a big club in Europe, he'd have already undergone strengthening and whatnot. A 19-20yo simply has not had the time at a big club to do that. Can definitely see that being the case with Lavia and Carney, for ex.

So, their fitness struggles don't really surprise me nor do I think they necessarily reflect any injury proneness. It's just the fact they aren't fully developed physically yet.

Reece James, however, that's a different story. 😕

I have not really seen his highlights. Our fan base has become fixated on him, when other clubs like ManUre and Liverpool have cooled their interest in him.

He'll come here and people will quickly realise Jackson offers a lot more around the pitch than Victor does when he isn't scoring.

He isn't the Kane, Haaland, Lewa level that everyone seems to want to throw him in. Reality is - he is the guy that had one exceptional season when Napoli was exceptional. A lot of other forwards in Italy have had similar scoring type seasons to him previously, and they all ended up poor to average when moved on.

Also lol at this talk of age and not fully formed yet being the reason for injuries...

That isn't how the human body works.

Muscle mass *can* protect joints from injury. Would you dispute this claim?
I've personally gone through strengthening (as in increase muscle mass) to protect my knee. It worked.
That's what I've heard from physios, but I'm no expert.

Regarding a 19 yo not being fully formed... I hope we are not disputing this one. That's what I usually mean when our 19yo players face players in the 28/29yo physically. I call it a disadvantage, but suppose people here love their kids.

Here's an even more obvious problem of signing very young players: you don't know if they will be injury prone or not. When we signed Thiago Silva (an extreme example to make the point), we knew exactly how injury prone he was, which is not at all. We simply don't know how these players will cope once they are playing twice a week--most have never done that.
