I foresee a Vlahovic/Lukaku swap. Could potentially cook the books a little on the value of each player to massage FFP a bit. I suspect that Lukaku didn't pull out on this, rather he realised he wasn't getting back to Inter as we weren't going to just take any offer.

Isn't that exactly what got Juve in big problems over the last year or two? 😂

Hasn't it already been reported we'd have taken the €35+5M which was Inter's last offer?

I feel it all comes down to money:

Inter would have paid Lukaku just €7.5M/y net and Juve's offer is much more.

I think that reported €11M/y net is even more than his Chelsea contract earned him after taxes.

This is just Inter and Lukaku colluding to push through a deal at a lower price, just like they did for the loan 🥱

Judging by Lukaku's actions and what he says it would be quite hard for me to believe he is House-of-cards type of mastermind, toying with 3 big clubs and few agents at the same time in game of 7D chess, but who knows 👀

Lukaku is 3 times more talented than Diego Costa, more imposing and physical, and has ties to the club through his childhood heroes, yet he showed not even 10% the fight Costa did, who was a mercenary to put it the best of ways.

This dude is such a grifter - through and through. Spoiled brat.

Mercenary? Dude is the best striker we have had last 10 years.

Compared to alot of other players he actually put his heart on the field and gave everything in all situations.
He was a fighter and a leader.

Had we had a single player in the team last season with Costa's mentality, we would not have finished in the bottom half of the table..

He only left because Conte was a cnut and we have yet to find a new world class player for the striker position.

Costa was alot of things but not a mercenary.
