Good on him! Would you or any human being accept reduced wages? Im glad he has a lot of self respect and knows his worth. A champions league winner and semi-finalist player in the world cup should never accept anything this.

Even with that reduced wage offer, he would earn 3 millions more per year than we pay him. What else does he want?????

Seeing that he would rather stay here and be paid £3m less shows that it’s really not about the money but a matter of principle. Another Saudi Club may be interested or Roma so let’s wait and see what happens. He may want to stay in Europe, be paid less but play competitive football here not necessarily with Chelsea! It’s not about the money for some people.

Man Harry Kane and Caicedo and I think we could have a serious push at top 4. But one of those is a pipe dream

Top 4? If we signed Kane and Caicedo we could push for the title.

But as you say, Kane is surely impossible.

Brighton & Hove Albion will hold out for their asking price of £100m for Moises Caicedo and will will reject any offer by Chelsea below it. Declan Rice’s £105m move from West Ham to Arsenal has set a precedent. (via @samcunningham)

Agreed, Caicedo is nowhere near a 100m player. You can probably get Barella AND another quality midfielder for that money.

But we need to get midfielders NOW. We can’t drag out this Caicedo shit all summer and kill ourselves before the season even starts like last year.

100m for Caicedo would really be insane, with Enzo I could understand it as he has insane abilities that you cant see in almost any other player on Earth, Caicedo is great but there are a bunch of great players who play similar. I don’t get it. Don’t be fooled by Brighton so many times.

Go for Amrabat or Lavia as a pure DM and then target a more creative midfielder. You can get both for the price Brighton want for Caicedo.

They’re clearly banking on us bending over and being fools like we did with Potter and Cucu and just being so dead set on getting Caicedo that we pay any price. Which we shouldn’t do.
