Gallagher is like bit better version of Barkley - squad player to fill in with less sophisticated opposition, crucial difference is Connor (still) cares.

People being "fine with Kepa" giving me flashbacks to few years ago, when we had decent squad that could collect so much more points if we had GK anything like prime Mendy. Our memory is short, so I guess brace for surprise and frustration if we aren't getting new no1 or at least someone to compete for the spot.

I don't even think Kepa had a good season.

I think his good season isa myth.

We need a better goalkeeper.

I usually don’t address these things publicly, but you have had multiple people tagging your posts for racism and winding up members. There is a gangster look, I really don’t think a head band is the be all, end all of that look. I really would not think he does look gangster, but it is a subjective call. As to the wumming. I went back through your posts and it goes all the way back to when Frank Lampard 2.0 was about to happen. You thought Frank would help us to improve. That is the last positive post about the club or the owners. You are allowed to have your opinion. You have demonstrated you can give that opinion without turning the players names into slurs. If your posting style going forward is mostly negative toward the club and turning players names into slurs, you will not be posting at this site. It is a site for fans of the club to discuss the club, the men’s team, the women’s team, and the players. If you have a criticism of any of those things, that is fine. Just make that criticism without abusing the players or people running the club. There are plenty of fans that do not care for the owners, but we should be able to voice that without being abusive about them.

OK I will collectively address this. I am sorry if my posts have offended anyone. I do not mean to offend or wind anyone up, I  just generally depressed and vent. I realise this board isn't really the place to vent but rather to voice opinions. Going forward, I will take your advice into consideration. Thank you!

The thing with Kepa is that he’s simply average. He’s not so bad that it’s a complete disaster if he’s our #1 for another season but at the same time it’s very anticlimactic because we could do much better. Seeing several of our rivals with keepers who can create goals from the keeper position and literally win them points whilst also being superb shot stoppers. Meanwhile, Kepa is extremely hit or miss with the ball on top of having severe weaknesses in specific scenarios like corners, crosses, and general command of his area.

I have seen this lineup on twitter and many Chelsea fans think it is good enough, some here may also believe that.

Jackson

Mudriyk/Sterling…….Nkunku——Madueke

Eno——Caicedo

Chilly—-Colwill——-Silva——James

Kepa

This imo is not good enough, especially in attack way too many unknowns. Jackson, Mudriyk, and Madueke they have potential but at this point that is way too risky to think they will all come good.

ofc is not good enough

we need another striker, another winger and a goalkeeper

with these three new players we have a decent line up, ready to fight for the top four.

Unless we can pull off a keeper like Diogo Costa or Mike Maignan then I'm fine with Kepa for one more season.

He's gotten over the lowest of the lows and while he is by no means great, last season he also wasn't even half as bad as some are making him out to be.

We're never going to win the title or anything significant with Kepa between the sticks but that's hardly going to be our level next season anyway and Kepa on last season's form is IMO good enough for a team challenging for the European places.

He actually had some games where he made a lot of saves. Obviously can be upgraded on but he isn’t like Karius was at Liverpool when they upgraded to Alisson.

CF and CM should be priority. After that then maybe a Thiago Silva long term replacement and a GK.

Doesn't look like he's fully committed to coming back in all honesty. If he was, he would just say it outright. He needs to earn his position.... it's not a God given right lad.
