Many people do not believe Chelsea's interest in Mykhailo Mudryk, but it is true: Chelsea have been calling his people and Shakhtar.

They are explaining the project to the player, if he does join, there are chances for Pulisic to leave.

If Romano is getting this info from Shaktar's end then its bollocks.

The bald fella on SSN is saying Benfica aren't happy with the way we are approaching the Enzo deal. Hope I'm wrong but there is a niggling feeling this might not happen.

[Record.pt]”Enzo Fernández is getting further away from becoming a Chelsea player. In a twist, Chelsea refuses to pay the Argentine international's termination clause and Benfica, in turn, refuses to sell below that amount. At this point, Benfica's position is simple. Either Chelsea get ahead with 120 M € upfront or the average stays in Luz, found Record . Faced with this scenario, the SAD of the reds is also disappointed with Chelsea's stance, feeling that those responsible for the London emblem have failed to keep their word. It should be remembered that, even before Christmas, the British put forward a proposal above 120 M€, which at the time was rejected. However, Chelsea have backed off and are now unwilling to reach that bar.”

Yeah we probably fucked this up also 😤

Wow.

Lose out on Enzo and get battered Thursday will result in a lot of toxicity within the fanbase and at the Bridge.

If the board fail to get Enzo after the Raphinha and Koudne sagas..... there could be alot of noise towards the ownership being incompetent.

We will have to stay level headed and start to look at Mac Allister.... Ceceido.... that Koune fella from the French League. Whatever happens... we need midfielders and fast.

Update Enzo: Chelsea is not flexible in terms of payment and Benfica also does not accept less than it asks. Rui Costa sees no benefits from selling Enzo on installments for now. Benfica intends to advance against Chelsea for having made the player's head with promises and dreams. It is not Chelsea that retreats, it is Benfica that was intransigent in the way it negotiated the player's pass. Rui Costa only accepted the clause outright. Chelsea was also not flexible and the deal should even fall through in the next few hours.

-Jorge, from transfers

What an absolute car crash of an owner says something after changes stance just to piss the selling team. I'm fucking done with football this season.

We've foiled our position. Brighton now know how much we have to spend so they will up their asking price on both Mac Allister and Caicedo. This is worse than when we failed to lure Dembele, Raphinha, De Ligt, Skriniar, Kimpembe, Lewandowski, Gnabry, Sane, etc. because Enzo actually wants to join us but we are toying with the asking price.

This, in every sense, is a calamity of business operations and I for one am losing every remaining ounce of optimism I have under Boehly's rule.

Would be really rotten if you get the players hopes up, convince him to join, and then balk at the last minute at paying the release clause.

Any other midfielder we may sign from here is a pretty substantial downgrade on Enzo. None of Alvarez, Caicedo, or Rice (in the summer) offers the complete package.
