Unless we counter in the coming hours I can't see us getting him.

Gazzetta claiming we are preparing a €80-90m bid this week.

This is where we see if Todd is behind TT. If he's as good as he's meant to be (don't watch serie A)  then just pay what they want and we have a CB for next 7 to 8 years

What the fuck.

He isn't worth that

Not much options left. Koulibaly wants to stay in Italy. PSG are probably offering Skriniar something lucrative and under the table (albeit similar to Hakimi).

Rather pay over the odds for De Ligt than Kounde.

You could get Bremer and Kounde for that price.

It's obviously his leadership qualities that are the lure because he is not doing it for me.

Have you seen Bremer on the ball? No thanks.

Admittedly I haven't seen much of him. I'm just thinking, 80m+ for a defender who hasn't been all that good in a defensive Italian side... worries me.

It was a terrible move to begin with, as Italian football isn't really made for the modern CB in today's game. Add the fact his first season was under Sarri and then Pirlo, its no surprise he didn't do well to begin with. Under Allegri, he did win Juve's player of the season last year. He has all the qualities to be an elite CB and if Tuchel can make Christensen look solid, I look forward to his work with De Ligt.

Bremer is a classic last ditch tackler CB. Poor on the ball and plays in a counter attacking low block. These CB's won't get you far as we have seen with Zouma.

De Ligt is 22 and has the potential to play for us for 10+ years if he realizes his talent. As insane as it would’ve seemed a few years ago, he probably is worth the €85m asking price.

I think we should offer it if he is truly Tuchel’s top choice.

I know that Sterling is quite a polarising figure but I think it's an incredibly smart move we've made to bring him in.

Firstly he's a significant upgrade in attack to what we already have, which should be first and foremost and I think his profile fits what Tuchel will want from his attackers. He makes our strongest XI stronger which in my opinion was important this summer that we could get at least 2 or 3 players falling into this bracket.

But I'm impressed with his mentality and I think it'll be a positive rub for the squad. Everything I've read and heard, he thrives from responsibility and leadership and has been a huge presence in the England set up. I think a number of our players, particularly the younger ones will gravitate towards him and can benefit from that.

If we lose Alonso and Azpi this summer, the last player we'll have in our squad is Kante with Premier League winning experience. It's been important that the group has won a couple of big trophies in the last 12 - 18 months but having a player coming from City with that mentality, desire and experience to go week after week pursuing the league will be a big coup.

I think they are waiting for another signing as our star signing of the summer can't be from a rival.  Sterling and ake would probably depress all of us and cement us as worse than City. Shirt reveal is probably being set back to be revealed with a signing.

My advice is ignore the rumour mill as it'll be heartbreaking when we miss out on everyone till we sort out a new stadium. This season is probably a write-off. Owners can't establish themselves in the transfer market in one window. They should've kept Cech or Granny till the next window at least. Granny would've roasted these targets by now if Tuchel was in charge of choosing them in the first place.
