As someone pointed out to me last night, that cash injection for Barca today barely covers their contract renewals and the registration of Kessie and AC.

Looking at it, I will be surprised if they match anywhere near our Raphinha bid

Raphinha wants Barca, leeds turned down there offer. So as it stands we are in limbo land completely, all we can do is wait for player hopefully we don't wait for ever.

We won't be. Bohely has made no secret of trying to move as fast as possible despite what the majority of our fanbade think. He has literally come in, ousted an incompetent board and struck targets with official bids. He and TT obviously want the bulk of the transfer business wrapped up before pre-season starts. Wether that come to fruition is another story.

Isn't this positive?

It is not negative. I keep reading that he wants to come to Chelsea, but I think a statement like that is more to not offend Man City and Man Utd who have also been linked to him.

Not usually my position, i get it and usually no hard feeling if we are not a players first choice. But in this case i can’t accept it. Barca is a shit show, they have ways to go before being back as one of europes elite.

I prefer Dembele, he can take over a game that Raphinea wishes in his dream. All this talk about Dembele attitude problem, Xavi is pushing Barca the hardest to resign him.

More likely as not to offend Juventus.

If we or any other club, don't agree a deal this summer he'll stay there another season and I doubt wants grief from their fans if he's been caught specifically saying he wants to join Chelsea.

I don't think it's just talk. It's clear to see even when he's on the pitch and I also know a Barca fan. He will only work in a free role as oppose to Raphinha who's far more of a team player. They work differently too in different areas of the pitch.
Personally, I'd not take Dembele esp for the type of high intensity system TT likes to employ.

Those suggesting Gnabry. Bayern have never sold anyone to Chelsea and Chelsea have never sold anyone to Bayern. There seems to be a hatred that stems from their side since Roman's takeover, and us nicking Ballack off them for free. The 2012 final probably also didn't help. Since then they have nicked two of our youth players, and their public pursuit of Hudson-Odoi was also pretty infuriating. I honestly think they'd rather him leave on a free than sell to us.

I don't remember there being any evidence in support of your main point here. Perhaps my memory is faulty on this but I really don't.

Ballack was leaving anyway and received offers from a number of clubs before choosing Chelsea. How many other Bayern players have we even tried to sign? I remember a link with Schweinsteiger when, like Ballack, he was on the move at the end of his time with Bayern.

In any case how often would Bayern even have needed to turn down a bid from Chelsea? How many established Bayern players would leave for Chelsea? Not many I suggest and even that might be overestimating it.

As for the CL final, it has nothing to do with anything. We won the cup yes, but so what? Bayern aren't run by fools and they know where the blame lies for their defeat. They faced a depleted Chelsea side which, even at full strength, should not have been a match for them. As expected they dominated the game on their own turf but failed to win it. Their loss was their own fault, not Chelsea's, and they know it.
